Frank Yamma - Appearing at Hungry Head today.

Poster from Bryony Taylor
Financially I am precluded from listening to him personally (live). I desire change to these living arrangements. I would like to afford to Live. Existing, paying ludicrous amounts of money for rent and adapting to eating less, generally genuinely precludes me from situations like these, seeing Frank or any other performances. Next year will see some good changes to this for us. So for today I will be satisfied with knowing he is close by and I can listen to his music online.
About Frank Yamma:
Frank is an interesting man who has come a long way to get to here. An extraordinary songwriter and an exceptional
guitarist, Frank Yamma also has an incredible voice, rich, deep and
resonant. Regarded by many as one of Australia’s most important
Indigenous Songwriters, Yamma’s brutally honest tales of alcohol abuse,
cultural degradation, respect for the old law and the importance of
country are spine tingling.
His ability to cross cultural and musical boundaries constantly sets new standards through his music.

Frank is 51 years old and I guess that is why it is awesome that his album is called 'Uncle.' Frank Yamma is a traditional Pitjantjatjara man from Australia's central desert.

CHRIS FISHER - Musician, Song Writer , Earth Warrior and Troubadour of the Planet
Recently a musician friend of mine introduced me to Chris Fisher from the Northern Rivers. I was already interested if Matthew thinks his work is great stuff because his standards are awesome. He also appears on Songs from Bentley and therefore the man has a heart and a brain and he has not been persuaded by the establishment elite.
I received a package in the mail of four CD's for Melonpop Drive (my radio show) Melonpop Drive / 2bbb Community Radio. Live streaming HERE
The Album Blurb is a great description of the music so far .... Chris is standing up for the Mother and we salute him for this. The Earth is smiling when he starts to serenade her.
All About Chris Fisher and his work taken from his FACEBOOK PAGE - Chris Fisher
Performance highlights include gigs at Australia's major festivals including Woodford, Port Fairy and Nation Folk Festivals, the Gympy Country Music Muster and two grand final appearances in the coveted ‘Star Maker’ quest at Tamworth's Country Music Festival.
An engaging entertainer and maturing artist who has been singing up respect for our mother earth and her peoples and the need for action to look after our environment for 20 years.
Fisher studied ecology and environmental management at James Cook University in Nth Queensland and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in 1988. Later studies included Contemporary music and Indigenous Australian history and issues at Southern Cross University.
Currently Chris is completing a Masters degree which draws on both his scientific and artistic experience. His work promotes the values and use of song in developing methodologies for Qualitative Inquiry.
Chris Fisher’s lyrics and message speak to and reflect the hearts and minds of many peoples, the rhythm of song moving beneath any cultural and language barrier, allowing a common celebration in hearing this critical, passionate and positive voice in the chorus for a better future.

THE HUNT - BRIGGS feat Gurrumul .. It is what is and it is what it is son!
The first time I heard this track I was filled with goosebumpz all over my body. To hear these two contrasting sounds together both being something I love and hold dear. Language and Briggs rhyming. I was touched to my very core. There were many levels where I felt I was really inside of this he was spitting here in this track. Homelessness, the fight still raging on. I was happy to play this on my show last week and got a massive response from the listeners for playing it. They loved it.
THE HUNT LYRICS ..

No time to be nervous, I work like they don’t deserve it
These clowns get around like they’re missing a circus
Superb its amazing how they’re twisting the verbs and
The kids get excited and reach for the purse and
Spend their hard earned, start repeating your verses
Reaching for stars n not reaching the person
Jump in the deep end, just breaking the surface
Im not standing in line so they can not serve us
But you gotta be patient, are you willing to wait there?
When the timings right are you ready to take it?
I been honing my components, waiting for my moment
Now Im gonna own it, Just feed me my opponents
Ain't no one been a head of me, I’m spittin' kerosine
Their catalogue is junk mail, I’m leavin' legacies
And I give em every right to be mad at me
They can only take aim at the one they see
ANYTHING WORTH HAVING AINT NEVER COMING EASY
ITS THE HUNT THAT WE’RE ON THAT BRING ANOTHER MEAL
ANYTHING WORTH HAVING AINT NEVER COMING EASY
TO THE HUNT WE BELONG MAN THATS JUST HOW I FEEL
THE SYSTEM AINT BROKEN, ITS THE WAY THAT IT WORKS
IT IS WHAT IT IS SON, IT IS WHAT IT IS
ITS A BEAUTIFUL THING, A GIFT AND A CURSE
IT IS WHAT IT IS SON, IT IS WHAT IT IS
We survived a death roll, death toll's something special
Here lies the best, put that on my head stone
The epitaph fit, and the fact of that is
I got to cracking that whip and put a dent ya headphones
Homeless? wasn’t ready for home yet
I was building my name up, hedging my own bet
I was out on the road missing more than my own bed
Missing these pieces that were keepin my own head
Got caught up, sorta, swapped gin for water
Jordans for my daughter, brought up, borders
Crowd still applaud us, cause we give em four quarters
From standing in the corner with anxiety disorders
Glutton for punishment, I was heading back for seconds
So they hand me a sentence of antidepressants
And I'm citizen second in my land of descendants
But i’m independent like the pendant on my necklace

Sound Frequencies used in Ancient Times.
The Solfeggio Frequencies
Free Solfeggio Tones - Download (136Mb)
(Reprinted from Wikipedia)
Solfeggio frequencies are a set of nine tones that, according to some, were used centuries ago in Gregorian and Sanskrit chants, however there is no evidence of this that can be cited. These chants contained special tones which were believed to impart spiritual blessings during religious ceremonies. The Solfeggio frequencies include:
- 01 = 174 Hz
- 02 = 285 Hz
- Ut = 396 Hz [Liberating Guilt and Fear]
- Re = 417 Hz [Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change]
- Mi = 528 Hz [Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)]
- Fa = 639 Hz [Connecting/Relationships]
- Sol = 741 Hz [Awakening Intuition]
- La = 852 Hz [Unconditional Love; Returning to Spiritual Order]
- 09 = 963 Hz
Ut = 396Hz which reduces to 9 [reducing numbers: 3+9 = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3 ; 3+ 6 = 9]
Re = 417Hz which reduces to 3
Mi = 528Hz which reduces to 6
Fa = 639Hz which reduces to 9
Sol = 741Hz which reduces to 3
La = 852Hz which reduces to 6
They also state that Mi is for "Miracles" or 528Hz - is the exact frequency used by genetic engineers throughout the world to repair DNA.
[1] The syllables used to denote the tones of this scale are: Ut, Re, Mi Fa, Sol, La. They are taken from the hymn to St. John the Baptist. The first stanza of the hymn is: Utqueant laxis Resonare fibris Mira gestorum Famuli tuorum Solve polluti Labii reatum Sancte Iohannes.[2] Translation: “So that your servants may resonate (resound) the miracles (wonders) of your creations with loosened (expanded) vocal chords. Wash the guilt from (our) polluted lips Saint John”.
The Solfeggio frequencies are cyclic variation of the numbers 369, 147 and 258[3] Each frequency has specific spiritual and physical healing properties. It is said that they are part of a process that can assist you in creating the possibility of life without stress, illness, and sickness.[4]

Archie Roach - what a beautiful story man and what a song he has to sing!
Cover of Ruby Hunter
Archie is a beloved Aboriginal singer and songwriter and producer and he is most importantly - the voice of his people.
Back in 2010 Archie suffered an emotional hit that none of us are really prepared for and he lost his partner Ruby Hunter who was a very young 54 when she passed.
This knocked Archie around severely and he was found in the Kimberly Region of Australia having suffered a stroke. He is lucky to be alive. I suppose he felt he had lost his reason to live when Ruby left. Last year Archie was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in his left Lung. I pray he beats this cancer and dies a natural death not a death from cancer. He is letting go of the sad things of this life.
Now Archie is back with a new album and a new lease on life and a new story to tell. His stories before were always of being stolen etc and now they are songs about winning and loving and seeing things through to the other side.
Archie Roach's new album is called "INTO THE BLOODSTREAM". It is available
A note from ArchieWhile making this album I have learned to look at Pain differently. I know that Pain can make you sick, very sick!! My recent bouts of illness I’m sure, are a result of the Pain of being removed from my family at a young age and more recently the loss of someone I loved so dearly.
But Pain can also bring about change in one’s life for the better, we can choose to ignore the Pain until it becomes unbearable or we can do something. I used to think that letting go of the Pain was the only way of getting better but that may not be necessarily so. You see some events in my life I will never truly get over and the Pain will always be there but I can do something about it.
I can write songs, songs about making it to the Top of the Hill no matter how far, songs about not being alone so don’t cry, songs about all of us having a song to sing and songs we can dance to.
Even though we may be suffering with some sort of chronic Pain we can learn to live with and manage it with the right attitude to life and some good medicine.
Doing this album has been good medicine for me! I hope listening to it will be the same for you!

Working Class Hero ... what a great song
Working Class Hero: The Definitive Lennon (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Recently I was asked to play this version on my radio show. I remembered the song but I only knew Marianne Faithful's rendition and when I listened I thought immediately I should learn to play this so I looked up the song on Youtube and what do you know ... it was three chords but really it was mainly one chord. I have had a practice until my fingers ached and I got it down pat now.
As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me
If you want to be a hero, well, just follow me

Sia the Songwriter is in the golden sunshine of Music. But is she safe?
Sia - SXSW 2008 (Photo credit: Kris Krug)
South Australian born Sia has wowed the US and hit the prized #1 spot. This is a coveted position and she is pleased this latest project worked out so well and it has raised this level of support.
She was put on the cover of Billboard Magazine with a bag over her head because she does not want to be famous. The text that went with the the cover shot said
"This artist is responsible for over 12 million track sales ... and doesn't want to be famous".
I don't like the way the US market can chew up people so easily though and so I hope that she is safe in the hands of the one of the most evil industries on the planet.. everyone knows the music industry is the bad lands and one needs to be covered well to enter.

Talk is the cheapest sound around.
Talk is said to be cheap. I am supposing that means that what we say means nothing. I tend not to agree with this because everything we say puts into motion things that occur down the track in our lives.
I tend to call this 'speaking it into existence' or 'conjuring' in a bad way. I also call the upswing of this 'building in the spirit' or 'conjuring' but in a good way.
What our mind can conceive and believe .. it will achieve. I grew up on that sort of positivity in my late teenage years when I learned about positive thinking and how this could stop the pain of the past hurts by training my mind. I read Napolean Hill books and learned, "Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything."
Victoria's Chet Faker (Nicolas James Murphy born 23rd June 1988) has a recently released track titled 'Talk is Cheap'. When I hear this song I become weak and I gush with the wettest tears, they pour down my cheeks. It is because cheap talk is what killed my love. The pain from this took away my song. My throat seized up and I was unable to sing anymore.
It will take awhile before I can sing this Chet Faker track without physical pain and without choking back tears by the gallon.

STARS IN THE TELESCOPE ..
Well you know how I love Australian Hip Hop / Rap / Rhyming in general.. well a couple of months back this song took my fancy big time and I have been so busy until now dealing with my life in general and only now I can sit down and really listen to the words and why it grabbed me the way it did.
The lyrical contend is transcending to many things and on many levels and I hear echos of what is happening for all of us young and old.
I was taken by the Chorus regarding us being like stars in the Telescope and just an image of reflection really spoke loads to me at this time of my journey in life and learning because it was like a musical confirmation if you would. I feel that way anyway and I feel comfortable with that too.
Here are the lyrics I quickly copied down while listening this afternoon. I cried listening so watch and listen and buy their whatever and get them some money so their kids don't go poor. Love the song ... Well done Wagga boys.
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection
Its like we drifted away
Look I'll prove it now
Thought we'd stay
Too far to be rescued now
I'm just a reflection of you
The opposite of my perception of you
Don't say I neglected you
coz all I want to do is stand next to you
When I say Next
I really mean With
Really mean Why
Gotta stay faithful
Gotta grow UP
Gotta play safe
Gotta play these cards right
I really mean Us
I really mean friendship
I really mean trust
I really mean more than just this rhyming shit
If I lose you I don't want to blow off
Side by Side
Hand in Hand
Walking forward We take a stand
We the movement
The new plan
We the young leaders
We The New Anthem
Witnessing HISTORY
We all thought JT had it all planned out
See the man stand out
See the man back down
Returning the fire in me
One Second
I represent a large portion of people that don't know much
but struggle and stress
Lost in motion
Finances taken over
What they gonna do for the people that want to do more
but cant afford it
I don't care about books
I just want to make sure my kids don't grow up poor
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection
Covered in broken stories
No wonder nobody supports them
Want him to run for glory
All you gotta do is tell his story
Pity no one believes us
History will probably repeat us
See what I mean is
We got a generation that came from cheaters
But we heads up
Knuckle down son
Work means sweat under the sun
Don't need help
Just some space
Get out my face just let me run
Just like dad did
We're ain't mad kid
But that's tragic for some kids
But we grow up
and we all get through it
And we don't need magic
just some MUSIC / CLASSIC
Write my rhymes with passion
only that which holds me back
can therefore stop all this from happening
Otherwise holding from this point on
Yes I will steer this ship
And since that day since that day its spinning perfectly
Before I go just let me speak
Not the only one
A million one are just like me
Not just talk
the people that grow up
We just don't know how long we miss them
I know I know this
I know I know this
I know I know this
I know I know this
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection
Light up the Night and shine where we never go
Like stars in the telescope
coz we are just an image of reflection

SONG LYRICS - Its Friday after all. EVERY LIE - MEG MAC
MEG MAC
EVERY LIE .. .
Every lie that went down then
How many had I not found then
And if every lie that went down then
I'll play the fool 'cause I found them
IT'S JUST YOUR BONES KEEPING
IT'S JUST YOUR BONES KEEPING
That's the sound of the sadness moving in
I can't stand the state of my skin
It burns now, it burns now
How you sleep in the bed you're keeping warm
It feels like I'm already gone now
Every lie that went down then
How many had I not found then
And if every lie that went down then
I'll play the fool 'cause I found them
IT'S JUST YOUR BONES KEEPING
IT'S JUST YOUR BONES KEEPING
Don't forget that I've heard this one before
I can't stand to face anymore
It burns now, it burns now, it burns now
Every lie that you kept behind that door
Well, I'm here in it now that I'm gone now
Every lie that went down then
How many had I not found then
And if every lie that went down then
I'll play the fool 'cause I found them
IT'S JUST YOUR BONES KEEPING
Release my soul beneath my naked bones
Release my soul beneath my naked bones
Release my soul beneath my naked bones
Release my soul beneath my naked bones

The magic of 3, 6 and 9.
"If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9, then you would have a key to the universe."
— Nikola Tesla
Gen·e·sis / n. / Creation; That which creates. The word Beget means to generate and also is related to creation through procreation
The book of Genesis is a Gnostic book written by Gnostics. The whole book hides the mystery of Daath, the Hebrew word for knowledge, which in Greek is Gnosis.
"In the beginning, God created"
"And God said, 'Let there be light"
Throughout Genesis, each time God creates he is speaking. When one speaks, what mechanism is producing sound? Vibrational energy is created by vibrations or sounds.
God Speaks in these Genesis verses.
These are the Solfeggio Frequencies where there is 111Hz between each resonant sound.

AVANT GARDENER - Courtney Barnett
AVANT GARDENER
I sleep in late
Another day
Oh what a wonder
Oh what a waste.
It’s a monday
It’s so mundane
What exciting things
Will happen today?
The yard is full of hard rubbish it’s a mess and
I guess the neighbours must think we run a meth lab
We should ammend that
I pull the sheets back
It’s 40 degrees
And i feel like i’m dying.
Life’s getting hard in here
So i do some gardening
Anything to take my mind away from where it’s sposed to be.
The nice lady next door talks of green beds
And all the nice things that she wants to plant in them
I wanna grow tomatoes on the front steps.
Sunflowers, bean sprouts, sweet corn and radishes.
I feel pro-active
I pull out weeds
All of a sudden
I’m having trouble breathing in.
My hands are shaky
My knees are weak
I can’t seem to stand
On my own two feet
I’m breathing but i’m wheezing
Feel like i’m emphysem-in’
My throat feels like a funnel
Filled with weet bix and kerosene and
Oh no, next thing i know
They call up triple o
I’d rather die than owe the hospital
Till I get old
I get adrenalin
Straight to the heart
I feel like Uma Thurman
Post-overdosing kick start
Reminds me of the time
When i was really sick and i
Had too much psuedoefedryn and i
Couldn’t sleep at night
Halfway down high street, andy looks ambivalent
He’s probably wondering what i’m doing getting in an ambulance
The paramedic thinks i’m clever cos i play guitar
I think she’s clever cos she stops people dying
Anaphylactic and super hypocondriactic
Should’ve stayed in bed today
I much prefer the mundane.
I take a hit from
An asthma puffer
I do it wrong
I was never good at smoking bongs.
I’m not that good at breathing in.
Wish I had the Guitar tabs cause this song is great exercise I think! I am going to just make up my own!

NO FRACKING WAY - The video by Aussies Against Fracking
This awesome song "No Fracking Way" was written, arranged, produced and performed by Leo Sayer (published by Silverbird Songs Ltd)
Leo Sayer and a cast of pure gold music legends have lined up to help us fight the fracc industry here in Australia.
Leo Sayer had a hit with I feel Like Dancing in the early 1980's, and the Gatton Star paper reported:
COAL seam gas drilling obviously doesn't make English-born pop star Leo Sayer feel like dancing. There are so many people in this video that I recognize both from protecting and my many nights in front of the stage at bands over the years.
More info
The song is about getting people interested and involved in the fight against the coal seam gas industry. Lots got a guernsey in the video with The Knitting Nannas Against Gas, The Girls Against Gas, well known Nimbin-based protester Benny Zable and Jarmbi and Drew Hutton from LTG, all of these featured on the footage of this song. There are scenes from protests in the northern Rivers and Tara and other actions against Coal Seam Gas Mining.

The song "No Fracking Way", was recorded by Leo at Silverbird Studios. John Hudson mixed the track, and Paul Berton played Guitar.
Aussies against Fracking are a group of anti - Csg musicians who support Lock the Gate and their ideals and this song is a gift to the movement. These days Leo Sayer is an Aussie boy, doin it the Straya way now. Massive thanks to him and all who contributed in any way either great or small, this was perfect timing in my opinion.
The line up for the video is also a who's who of classic Australian Rock. The likes of Doc Neeson from the Angels, Deni Hines, Kevin Borich, Casey Burgess, Mitch Anderson, Mark Gable, Jeff Duff, Steve Balbi from Noisworks and Mi Sex, Jade Hurley, Connor Cleary, Alex Gibson, Graham Wilson and Jarmb-Ji Githabul.
The featured singers, musicians and choir were filmed and recorded at Pow Wow Studios, Sydney.
The Sound recording was done by Des O'Neill, and special thanks to Chris Fitz-Gibbon. The Production was handled by Annie Wright for Aussies Against Fracking. With special thanks to Nick Hanlon.
For More information on all of this please go to: "http://www.lockthegate.org.au/"
Since this song was released, I have played it on the Melonpop Drive Show on 2bbb Radio and I dare say 2014 with see it played weekly from here on in.

DROP THE GAME / FLUME & CHET FAKER
I've been SEEING ALL,
I've been seeing YOUR SOUL
Give me things that I wanted to know
Tel me THINGS THAT YOU'VE DONE
I've been feeling old,
I've been feeling cold
You're THE HEAT THAT I KNOW
See, you are my sun
Hush, I said there's more to life than rush
Not gonna leave this place with us
DROP THE GAME, it's not enough
Hush, I said there's more to life than rush
Not gonna leave this place with us
DROP THE GAME, it's not enough
I've been SEEING ALL,
I've been seeing YOUR SOUL
Give me things that I wanted to know
Tel me THINGS THAT YOU'VE DONE
I've been feeling old,
I've been feeling cold
You're THE HEAT THAT I KNOW

FLUME DOMINATES - The guy is a freaking genius!
Bernard Ziel said " If you don't already know him, it's time to commit the name Harley
Streten, aka Flume, to memory because he could be about to make ARIA
history". Read More
The first time I heard FLUME I thought wow this young fellow knows what he is doing and he is going to go places for sure>
I was not wrong. In fact I could not have been more right, so it was pretty cool to see him get 7 aria award nominations. This is going to break historical Aria Award records. He most certainly deserves this as every single peice of his work is brilliant. What a genius he is and so Good Luck Harley ... you must have had a great mum and dad!
I was a proud mother because my daughter got a school award at the latest awards ceremony held at the Bellingen High School. I attended this with Carol Vernon and met Montana's father there.

Russell Morris - The Relative Truth
Russell Morris in 2013
Morris' career started at the age of 18, in September 1966. On 1 July 2008, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) recognized Morris' iconic status when he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
In 1973, Morris moved to London to record an album only to discover there was no record contract waiting for him. He relocated to New York
and set to work on an album there, including new versions of both
"Sweet Sweet Love" and "Wings of an Eagle" and the single "Let's Do It".
A second American album appeared in 1976. It was two more years before
Morris was granted his green card, enabling him to tour America. But by
then, any chance of an American career had bolted. Instead, Morris
returned to a very different Australia than the one he had left behind
five years earlier.
Russell Morris that I loved in the 1960's
Another clear case of people from this time not getting the opportunities they should have had afforded to them because of their obvious talent. I too feel the same way regarding being a parent and being a child. When I was a child we had to respect our parents or else, these days the children have no respect for their parents and so we had it so tough from our parents and now we are being bashed by our own children as well. This is the era I grew up in.
The Chords and Lyrics for "WINGS OF AN EAGLE"

Last Stand at TARA Queensland
Dayne's Party ...
on the Weimbilla Estate.
This estate is where the blockies live. It is there slice of Australia they have decided to go live on and carve out an existence for their families out of the business of city life.
Sadly though out here the fatality statistics are worse than in our cities with all of their hotels and cars and so called city issues. Out here in two weeks, six young people lost their lives on the roads here.
Ash Grunwald has written a song called the "Last Stand" and it is directed at the Csg Mining and the absolute desecration of the land that is going on way out the back where no one sees what they are doing.
The local people are under seige with their water issues with the fracking wrecking their bores and then there is no water for anything. You cannot drink poisoned water.
