Baucis and Philemon .. If you do it for the least of them you have done it unto me.

IMG 6554.1

 taken from Ovid's (Metamorphoses VIII:621-96)
Zeus and Hermes came disguised as ordinary peasants, and began asking the people of the town for a place to sleep that night. They were rejected by all before they came to Baucis and Philemon's simple rustic cottage. Though the couple were poor, their generosity far surpassed that of their rich neighbours, at whose homes the gods found "all the doors bolted and no word of kindness given, so wicked were the people of that land."

After serving the two guests food and wine (which Ovid depicts with pleasure in the details), Baucis noticed that, although she had refilled her guest's beechwood cups many times, the pitcher was still full (from which derives the phrase "Mercury's Pitcher"). Realising that her guests were gods, she and her husband "raised their hands in supplication and implored indulgence for their simple home and fare." Philemon thought of catching and killing the goose that guarded their house and making it into a meal, but when he went to do so, it ran to safety in Zeus's lap. Zeus said they need not slay the goose and that they should leave the town. This was because he was going to destroy the town and all those who had turned them away and not provided due hospitality. He told Baucis and Philemon to climb the mountain with him and Hermes, not to turn back until they reached the top.
After climbing to the summit ("as far as an arrow could shoot in one pull"), Baucis and Philemon looked back on their town and saw that it had been destroyed by a flood and that Zeus had turned their cottage into an ornate temple. The couple's wish to be guardians of the temple was granted. They also asked that when time came for one of them to die, that the other would die as well. Upon their death, the couple were changed into an intertwining pair of trees, one oak and one linden, standing in the deserted boggy terrain.
In Matthew in the scriptures in chapter 25 Jesus tells a similar story.  He says, "Who are you? I never knew you." Because he said, "If you do it for the least of them you have done it unto me".  People only were nice to those they felt they could benefit from and not in the act of love.  Jesus points out that he was the prisoner they turned away and the homeless man they ignored etc.

This is the wisdom that is to be found, there is no division.  One cannot turn their backs from another ones suffering and consider themselves enlightened in any way shape of form.  The great unwashed to have a story and they are apart of the divinity too.

However this has an opposite side, one must not throw pearls after swine.  One should not allow ones self or important resources to be abused. There has to be a noticeable change occur in the complainant and this understanding if there is evident from the beginning.   This is the limitation of personal attitude.

Attitude is a very personal thing its the outward sign of what is within.  It is our disposition we display and our face we show the world.  I feel it is a hint to the heart energy within the mortal body that retains the divine spark, where there is light there can be no dark.  Absolute truth cannot corrupt itself.

In the Old Testament there is the story of Lot and his wife as they leave the city.   He asks his wife not to turn around or she would be turned into a pillar of salt.

Salt is a crystal and I find this interesting. Lot is saying to his wife here, "You will not go any further in your journey  [vibratory core].  You will be stuck where you are.

The advice to us here is this -  Do not look back on the past other than to learn and keep moving onwards.  She didn't listen and was turned to Salt.  This shows Humanity not moving to Divinity.  Salt being the salt of the Earth.

I feel it also shows us that our past can be made into a shrine or temple as an outward sign to show these changes that have occurred inwardly in our soul.

Symbolism - The Language of the Soul.

IMG 8652 Canowind chimes at Dawn
This window is the place where I do a lot of imagining.  I usually dream about big projects though and know what to do.
By Dee Smith

It is through the Soul's imagination that we can increase our capacity to know the divine; This is our spiritual growth.  This is a process of learning the archetypal language of the soul.  This is not a static language.  It is not an alphabet or symbol system.  It is the language of the imagination.

The imagination allows us to in-vision, to open the mind so that we can explore and discover the Soul's Archetypal world.  The imagination takes us beyond the banal identifications and routine symbolic representations into the depths, into the unknown within, and it is there that we encounter a divine landscape.

While current religious believers often seek God's wisdom outside of themselves, visionaries and mystics know that God speaks to the soul.  This divine communion with the soul is experienced through dreams and visions.

Jung says that the believer should not boggle at the fact that there are somnia a deo missa (Dreams sent by God) and illuminations of the soul which cannot be traced back to any external causes" (IBID, PARA. II).

But the vast majority do not turn inward to find God.  They seek God in the heavens above, in the church, in their religious leaders, even Gurus and mountaintops, but not within the soul.

Which Jung Archetype Best Describes You?

Take the Quiz HERE
Deutsch: Carl Gustav Jung
Deutsch: Carl Gustav Jung (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
I participated in the questionnaire and it was no surprize to me to find that my archetype is the Sage.  I am said to be wise beyond my years and isn't this clever that this is a card that comes up for me in the Tarot also in the form of the King.
Kings: Keyword - KnowledgeMany explanations actually start with the King because the King starts things off. This person is a motivator, an instigator of new projects. Planning, organizing, moving things forward, the King is the person to consult. When interpreting tarot cards of the minor arcana, a king’s knowledge is power, so use this person’s advice to your advantage.
I am the sage! According to Carl Jung, the sage represents wisdom and the search for truth. You are wise beyond your years, patient and a deep thinker.
You're driven by a thirst for knowledge. One of your greatest fears is being ignorant, misled, or duped.
You're incredibly intelligent but you risk over analyzing until you're incapable of actually making a decision.
You're an old soul and wise beyond your years, but Jung would tell you don't get lost in the clouds!

I was asked to choose one of the Seven Wonders of the World of which only the Great Pyramid of Giza survives today.  I chose the Hanging gardens of Babylon which were destroyed by an earthquake.

Seven Modern Wonders of the World  The ‘new’ seven wonders were selected in 2007 by internet and phone from countries around the globe.

ARCHITECTURE and LIFE!

It is one tremendous world. The universe presents equal opportunity for all and special privilege for none .

0581- St James Church Morpeth
St James Church Morpeth NSW
This great commune has as its ultimate the gradual manifestation of its purpose and structure that man himself builds .

ARCHITECTURE according to the Vitruvian Canons is a human representation of the laws of life as they relate to stress and pressure and harmony of form and materials, Therefore the building was a symbol of an invisible building composed of the eternal principals of mathematics and science.  In the same way everything  that we construct, that we build in our minds and hearts is based upon great archetypal forms that exist forever in nature and all of these archetypes are alive.  They are not just dead things, there is nothing dead, even the belief in death cannot kill us... because there is something that is inside of us always and this thing that is inside of us symbolizes itself outward into various forms and manifestations.

Written after listening to MPH again.  I could listen to this man forever not just every night.

Enuma Elish ~ The Babylonian Epic of Creation ~

IMG_8414
Urunga at Dawn
This story, is one of the oldest, if not the oldest in the world, concerns the birth of the gods and the creation of the universe and human beings. In the beginning there was only undifferentiated water swirling in chaos. Out of this swirl, the waters divided into sweet, fresh water, known as the god Apsu, and salty bitter water, the goddess Tiamat. Once differentiated, the union of these two entities gave birth to the younger gods.
These young gods, however, were extremely loud, troubling the sleep of Apsu at night and distracting him from his work by day. Upon the advice of his Vizier, Mummu, Apsu decides to kill the younger gods. Tiamat, hearing of their plan, warns her eldest son, Enki (sometimes Ea) and he puts Apsu to sleep and kills him. From Apsu's remains, Enki creates his home. Tiamat, once the supporter of the younger gods, now is enraged that they have killed her mate. She consults with the god, Quingu, who advises her to make war on the younger gods. Tiamat rewards Quingu with the Tablets of Destiny, which legitimize the rule of a god and control the fates, and he wears them proudly as a breastplate. With Quingu as her champion, Tiamat summons the forces of chaos and creates eleven horrible monsters to destroy her children.

Ea, Enki, and the younger gods fight against Tiamat futilely until, from among them, emerges the champion Marduk who swears he will defeat Tiamat. Marduk defeats Quingu and kills Tiamat by shooting her with an arrow which splits her in two; from her eyes flow the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Out of Tiamat's corpse, Marduk creates the heavens and the earth, he appoints gods to various duties and binds Tiamat's eleven creatures to his feet as trophies (to much adulation from the other gods) before setting their images in his new home. He also takes the Tablets of Destiny from Quingu, thus legitimizing his reign.

After the gods have finished praising him for his great victory and the art of his creation, Marduk consults with the god Ea (the god of wisdom) and decides to create human beings from the remains of whichever of the gods instigated Tiamat to war. Quingu is charged as guilty and killed and, from his blood, Ea creates Lullu, the first man, to be a helper to the gods in their eternal task of maintaining order and keeping chaos at bay. As the poem phrases it, "Ea created mankind/On whom he imposed the service of the gods, and set the gods free." Following this, Marduk "arranged the organization of the netherworld" and distributed the gods to their appointed stations. The poem ends in Tablet VII with long praise of Marduk for his accomplishments.

The Enuma Elish was read and recited widely throughout Mesopotamia but was especially important at the New Year Festival in Babylon. During this festival the statue of Marduk would be taken from the temple and, amidst the revelers, be paraded through the streets of the city, out the gates, to `vacation' in a small house built for this purpose. The Enuma Elish, especially, it is thought, the praise from Tablet VII, would be sung or chanted during this procession.

Magnetism is everywhere ... Our HABITS are they Magnetic too?

This magnetism is amazing and can be seen in terms of sound,  with form and energy radiations.  Everything is magnetic in nature.  The spoken or creative word has a magnetic equivalent and ideas have magnetic fields.  Archetypal patterns, whether in nature or in man are magnetic and dream experiences are magnetized.

Paracelsus geometric forms are magnetic emanations  and color creates conditioning within a magnetic structure as does music as does every expression of art known to man.

Habits are and interesting line of thought where magnetism is concerned.  Habits could be attributed to magnetism and the consistency shows a gradual depletion in the energies and this is the relationship between consciousness and the flesh in the body.  This could be an intricate relationship,  moods for example can be likened to nature around us,  eruption, temperature, moisture, climate of the personality.  These influences react upon the magnetic energies sustaining the body.  In time corruption occurs with the constant depletion of energy in this form from mans magnetic reservoir .

Mans consciousness and its relationship to afflictions ie.  attitudes are responsible for poisoning  the magnetic core of our being.   Each attitude has a particular effect on the magnetism of the human body.  All intemperance's maybe then related to the causes of ailments in the life of man and thus due to a magnetic disruption in the energy fields.

Therefore the doctrine of non interference  could be adhered to because, the  moment man  blocks the process's of the universes he gets sick.

Man must maintain harmony of those attributes of his own nature by which the fields of energy around him can be over influenced.

Moods mutate color.  Moods take on form,  attitudes have an existence in magnetism as an artificially created creature.  Such creatures were known as (Elementaries)  not  nature spirits which are known as ( Elementals)  and are created by the intemperance's of man which then became paracites instead of being useful.   These forms have been classified and examined.   Man because of mass attitudes can call up these vortice's and structures in the magnetic field and they can have a huge effect on the lives of us all.

Magnetism needs no machines to be able to utilize its value and validate its usefulness.

The magnetic agent can be influenced by the mind.  The controlling mind of the universe is deity.  Energy is the same as channeled magnetism. retaining forms or shapes.  We just cannot see it that's all.  Like radio waves for instance. We cannot see it but we can hear it.
