Happy 18th Birthday Montana-Star Christina Baldwin

Today is her 18th Birthday and that is quite a milestone in any of our lives and I remember when I turned 18 and it seems like yesterday really.

Montana has organised a party at her house and all of her friends are coming as well as her sister Matilda who lives in Cessnock South of here.

I am having a special commemorative Happy 18th Birthday Montana Radio Show later on today and that will be wonderful as I use those two hours to dedicate the entire show to her and all of her favorite artists and songs with Stars in the name or something that reminds me of Montana.

So it is official I am the mother of all adult children now.  Montana is my youngest child and now she is an adult too.  She got her "L" Plates last week which is great because now perhaps I can teach her to drive a bit.

Catching the Train again for me!

 Today I got on the train very early just before 7am in Urunga and travelled down to Wingham Station where my friend Kathy met me and we drove out to their property at Killawarra.  Such a beautiful area to live.

The reason for my trip this time was not to head to an action but to actively participate in saying good bye to Bill Bunting who is going back to the USA on the train tomorrow morning at about 2am.

 

 

I have gathered a couple of minutes to write about the days events because it was very meaningful to us all.
When I arrived Nathan, Ian and Bill were attaching guttering to the house and it was wonderful to see the boys all working together.  The children were all there as well and everyone was having fun.  There was a good chance there would be a lot of rain on the way and there had already been the Typhoon in the Philippines and the tanks were very low.

When this job was finished we settled into party mode and Lei came over and Bruce as well.

Bruce has some serious car problems when he arrived but he was amongst friends and it was soon sorted, and serious goodbyes began as we all sat around together laughing and sharing wine and beer with friends. 

Good Bye Bill,  it was so awesome to meet you in person and to share your inner most thoughts about the planet and love and family.  You are definitely a brother from another mother and on another level and we were all destined to meet and we had to just weather the fire first and we all passed the test with flying colours.

Memorial Hall Bellingen NSW

Bellingen Memorial Hall in Hyde Street Bellingen, what a wonderful venue for a party for a radio station.  I am sure this would have been perfect

 

I wanted to go but found I couldn't go alone as usual.  I miss out on so much being disabled this way.  It is my own doing and I will undo this the best I can.  Perhaps it is the memories that bring me undone and this is why I cannot face things alone.

I would have loved to have attended this with Montana and anyone that Montana cared to bring along to help celebrate this most awesome occasion.  I lifted a drink at home instead and thought about everyone having fun up at the Mem Hall.  I was there in spirit because my thoughts were there.

Happy Birthday to Shelby

I was excited all week to see if my present I made for Shelby fitted her.  I made a special beenie in Ford colors the best I could and so we excitedly got ready to go up to Bellingen for her party at Bellingen.

Shelby is my daughters sister in law. This is curious because she is a tiny one year old tomorrow. Matilda lives with Shelby's biggest brother Brendan. 

It was a beautiful party with a huge Peppa Pig Cake that was one meter long. There was stacks of yummy things for everyone. Gail had not held back on any expense and it was wonderful with all of the helium filled balloons floating around the entire house.  A jumping castle that was in the back yard for the babies to play inside together with lots of balls and a slide. Peppa  Pig arrived in a suit, this was a huge hit with her as she absolutely thought it was wonderful.  I am sure she thought she was real.

I saw her playing with everything and it was so much fun to be apart of such a special occasion as her first birthday, it was sad that Tilly and Brendan were not there to help Gail and Jason celebrate this and to have as much fun as we all did.  Her party was today but her birthday Day is tomorrow the 12th August.
