Climb up on some hill at sunrise. Everybody needs perspective once in a while, and you'll find it there. Robb Sagendorph

It is easy to find a beautiful back ground setting here in this area. We are blessed with the natural colours of dawn in the background of this shot.  I just love the awesome colours with the lily in the foreground.  All of this is at dawn On the Hill.

Good Morning!
There is plenty of time to get this kind of perspective both in what the quote above says and also in the photographic image we were trying to achieve here.  Just attempting to get it with the back ground blurry but pretty.  I think I got that here and I was  happy with it.

It isn't easy to get any of these images up here because the Midgees are lethal but this morning the gentle wind must have kept them at bay as I didn't seem to be bothered by them today. I have been told they aren't around so much when its windy.  I tend to keep this in mind now I know this.

THE YELLOW PAGES ...Iota

The number "10" in football is a very important number worn by the best and most creative player on the team.

Some famous #10's are Michel Platini, Wayne Rooney, Pele, Diego Maradona, Zinedine Zidane, Johan Cruyff, Roberto Baggio, David Beckham, Lionel Messi, Ronaldhino, Francesco Totti, Luis Figo, Raul Gonzalez, Zico, Jesse Baldwin.

Yellow the color has so many colorful uses in language, take this one for example:

Yellow Dog Democrats was a term applied to U.S. Southern voters who voted solely for  Democatic candidates, with the term commencing in the late 19th century. Due to Republican president Araham Lincoln's   leading the Union against the Confederacy, these voters would allegedly "vote for a yellow dog before they would vote for any Republican"

On June 10, 2011 at 9:58 pm  SIKLOS said: "I submit that Ferenc Puskas of Honved, Hungary and Real Madrid was the best number 10 in football, ever."

THE YELLOW PAGES ...theta

So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found the sea green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine,
Yellow submarine – Beatles – 1966

Some more interesting facts about The Greek Alphabet...

Originally there were several variants of the Greek alphabet, most importantly western  (Chadian) and eastern (Ionic) Greek.

The former gave rise to the Old Italic alphabet and thence to the Latin alpha-be,  while the latter is the basis of the present Greek alphabet.

THE YELLOW PAGES ... Zeta

So let's just smoke bananas  shall we...

I'mma just mad about Saffron.
She's just mad about me.
They call me Mellow Yellow,
Quite rightly
Mellow Yellow - Donovin 1966

The song "Mellow Yellow"was rumored to be about smoking dried banana skins, which was believed to be a hallucinogenic drug in the 1960s, though this has since been debunked.

According to Donovan's notes accompanying the album Donovan's Greatest Hits, the rumor that one could get high from smoking dried banana skins was started by Country Joe McDonald in 1966

THE YELLOW PAGES ... Digamma

Yellow is sunshine.

It is a warm color that, like red, has conflicting symbolism. On the one hand it denotes happiness and joy but on the other hand yellow is the color of cowardice and deceit.

A colorfast yellow dye produced from saffron, the dried stamen of an oriental or Mediterranean crocus, was imported into Europe and was very expensive and only used to dye the cloths of the wealthy

The Greek alphabet is a set of twenty-four letters that has been used to write the Greek language since the 8th century BC.

Digamma disappeared from the alphabet because the sound it notated, the voiced labial-velar approximant, had disappeared from the Ionic dialect and most of the others. It remained in use as a numeric sign denoting the number six.

THE YELLOW PAGES ... Epsilon

"Yellow colored objects appear to be gold" - Aristotle ..

MONEY money money ... Oh and death!  First off, we’ve got yellows and golds, which we’re thinking has something to do with…gold in the cash money sense. Why gold and not green? Because we’re talking about the real stuff, the authentic, traditional, "old money" – not these new-fangled dollar bills.
The Great Gatsby...

THE YELLOW PAGES ... gamma

A primrose by a river's brim
A yellow primrose was to him
And it was nothing more
William Wordsworth
(April 07, 1770 - April 23, 1850)

Sumptuary Laws in Elizabethan times dictated who could wear which colors!  The colors of Elizabethan cloths, including the color Yellow, provided information about the status of the man or woman wearing them.
