The Tablets of Thoth

The Spiritual, Occult and Historical significance of the "Emerald Tablets" is almost beyond belief of modern man.

Written around 36,000 B.C. by Thoth, an Atlantean priest-king, this manuscript dates far back beyond reach of any Egyptian writings ever found. The author, Thoth, a Master-Teacher of the early Egyptians, put this treatise to writing in his native Atlantean language and Dr. Doreal, was given the directive to retrieve these Tablets and translate them into English for the edification of modern man. Tablet Two - The Halls of Amenti

Image:Bathed in the Fire of the Infinite All.

Deep in Earth's heart lie the Halls of Amenti,
far 'neath the islands of sunken Atlantis,
Halls of the Dead and halls of the living,
bathed in the fire of the infinite ALL.
Far in a past time, lost in the space time,
the Children of Light looked down on the world.
Seeing the children of men in their bondage,
bound by the force that came from beyond.
Knew they that only by freedom from bondage
could man ever rise from the Earth to the Sun.
Down they descended and created bodies,
taking the semblance of men as their own.

The Masters of everything said after their forming:
"We are they who were formed from the space-dust,
partaking of life from the infinite ALL;
living in the world as children of men,
like and yet unlike the children of men."
Then for a dwelling place, far 'neath the earth crust,
blasted great spaces they by their power,
spaces apart from the children of men.
Surrounded them by forces and power,
shielded from harm they the Halls of the Dead.
Side by side then, placed they other spaces,
filled them with Life and with Light from above.
Builded they then the Halls of Amenti,
that they might dwell eternally there,
living with life to eternity's end.
Thirty and two were there of the children,
sons of Lights who had come among men,
seeking to free from the bondage of darkness
those who were bound by the force from beyond.

Deep in the Halls of Life grew a flower, flaming,
expanding, driving backward the night.
Placed in the center, a ray of great potence, Life
giving, Light giving, filling with power all who came near it.
Placed they around it thrones, two and thirty,
places for each of the Children of Light,
placed so that they were bathed in the radiance,
filled with the Life from the eternal Light.
There time after time placed they their first created bodies
so that they might by filled with the Spirit of Life.
One hundred years out of each thousand must the
Life-giving Light flame forth on their bodies.
Quickening, awakening the Spirit of Life.

There in the circle from aeon to aeon,
sit the Great Masters,
living a life not known among men.
There in the Halls of Life they lie sleeping;
free flows their Soul through the bodies of men.
Time after time, while their bodies lie sleeping,
incarnate they in the bodies of men.
Teaching and guiding onward and upward,
out of the darkness into the light.
There in the Hall of Life, filled with their wisdom,
known not to the races of man, living forever 'neath the cold
fire of life, sit the Children of Light.
Times there are when they awaken,
come from the depths to be lights among men,
infinite they among finite men.
He who by progress has grown from the darkness,
lifted himself from the night into light,
free is he made of the Halls of Amenti,
free of the Flower of Light and of Life.
Guided he then, by wisdom and knowledge,
passes from men, to the Master of Life.
There he may dwell as one with the Masters,
free from the bonds of the darkness of night.

Seated within the flower of radiance sit seven
Lords from the Space-Times above us,
helping and guiding through infinite Wisdom,
the pathway through time of the children of men.
Mighty and strange, they,
veiled with their power,
silent, all-knowing,
drawing the Life force,
different yet one with the
children of men.
Aye, different, and yet One
with the Children of Light.
Custodians and watchers of the force of man's bondage,
ready to loose when the light has been reached.
First and most mighty,
sits the Veiled Presence, Lord of Lords,
the infinite Nine,
over the other from each
the Lords of the Cycles;
Three, Four, Five, and Six, Seven, Eight,
each with his mission, each with his powers,
guiding, directing the destiny of man.

There sit they, mighty and potent,
free of all time and space.
Not of this world they,
yet akin to it,
Elder Brothers they,
of the children of men.
Judging and weighing,
they with their wisdom,
watching the progress
of Light among men.

There before them was I led by the Dweller,
watched him blend with ONE from above.
Then from HE came forth a voice saying:
"Great art thou, Thoth, among children of men.
Free henceforth of the Halls of Amenti,
Master of Life among children of men.
Taste not of death except as thou will it,
drink thou of Life to Eternity's end,
Henceforth forever is Life,
thine for the taking.
Henceforth is Death at the call of thy hand.
Dwell here or leave here when thou desireth,
free is Amenti to the son of man.
Take thou up Life in what form thou desireth,
Child of the Light that has grown among men.
Choose thou thy work, for all should must labor,
never be free from the pathway of Light.
One step thou has gained on the long pathway upward,
infinite now is the mountain of Light.
Each step thou taketh but heightens the mountain;
all of thy progress but lengthens the goal.
Approach ye ever the infinite Wisdom,
ever before thee recedes the goal.
Free are ye made now of the Halls of Amenti
to walk hand in hand with the Lords of the world,
one in one purpose, working together,
bring of Light to the children of men."

Then from his throne came one of the Masters,
taking my hand and leading me onward,
through all the Halls of the deep hidden land.
Led he me through the Halls of Amenti,
showing the mysteries that are known not to man.
Through the dark passage, downward he led me,
into the Hall where site the dark Death.
Vast as space lay the great Hall before me,
walled by darkness but yet filled with Light.
Before me arose a great throne of darkness,
veiled on it sat a figure of night.
Darker than darkness sat the great figure,
dark with a darkness not of the night.
Before it then paused the Master, speaking
The Word that brings about Life, saying;
"Oh, master of darkness,
guide of the way from Life unto Life,
before thee I bring a Sun of the morning.
Touch him not ever with the power of night.
Call not his flame to the darkness of night.
Know him, and see him,
one of our brothers,
lifted from darkness into the Light.
Release thou his flame from its bondage,
free let it flame through the darkness of night."
Raised then the hand of the figure,
forth came a flame that grew clear and bright.
Rolled back swiftly the curtain of darkness,
unveiled the Hall from the darkness of night.

Then grew in the great space before me,
flame after flame, from the veil of the night.
Uncounted millions leaped they before me,
some flaming forth as flowers of fire.
Others there were that shed a dim radiance,
flowing but faintly from out of the night.
Some there were that faded swiftly;
others that grew from a small spark of light.
Each surrounded by its dim veil of darkness,
yet flaming with light that could never be quenched.
Coming and going like fireflies in springtime,
filled they with space with Light and with Life.
Then spoke a voice, mighty and solemn, saying:
"These are lights that are souls among men,
growing and fading, existing forever,
changing yet living, through death into life.
When they have bloomed into flower,
reached the zenith of growth in their life,
swiftly then send I my veil of darkness,
shrouding and changing to new forms of life.
Steadily upward throughout the ages, growing,
expanding into yet another flame,
lighting the darkness with yet greater power,
quenched yet unquenched by the veil of the night.

So grows the soul of man ever upward,
quenched yet unquenched by the darkness of night.
I, Death, come, and yet I remain not,
for life eternal exists in the ALL;
only an obstacle, I in the pathway,
quick to be conquered by the infinite light.
Awaken, O flame that burns ever inward,
flame forth and conquer the veil of the night."
Then in the midst of the flames
in the darkness grew there one that
drove forth the night, flaming, expanding,
ever brighter, until at last was nothing but Light.
Then spoke my guide, the voice of the master:

See your own soul as it grows in the light,
free now forever from the Lord of the night.

Forward he led me through many great spaces
filled with the mysteries of the Children of Light;
mysteries that man may never yet know of until
he, too, is a Sun of the Light.
Backward then HE led me into the Light
of the hall of the Light.
Knelt I then before the great Masters,
Lords of ALL from the cycles above.
Spoke HE then with words of great power saying:

Thou hast been made free of the Halls of Amenti.
Choose thou thy work among the children of men.

Then spoke I:

O, great master, let me be a teacher of men,  leading then onward and upward until they,  too, are lights among men;  freed from the veil of the night that surrounds them,  flaming with light that shall shine among men.

Spoke to me then the voice:

Go, as yet will. So be it decreed.  Master are ye of your destiny,  free to take or reject at will.  Take ye the power, take ye the wisdom.  Shine as a light among the children of men.

Upward then, led me the Dweller.
Dwelt I again among children of men,
teaching and showing some of my wisdom;
Sun of the Light, a fire among men.
Now again I tread the path downward,
seeking the light in the darkness of night.
Hold ye and keep ye, preserve my record,
guide shall it be to the children of men.

Serpent symbolism

Serpent or snake symbolism shows a coming awake or of a state of knowing. It is rooted in the earth and sprouting wings.

Transformation and resurrection are alchemically represented with this symbolism. The serpent shape represents energy, movement, water, wisdom, Kundalini rising, sound waves, resurrection, and it is the symbol for the age of Aquarius - the two squiggly lines.
Many ancient cultures share this same serpent symbolism across the planet. Rainbow Serpent (Australia), Quetzalcoatl (Meso America) etc etc. It is symbolized in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions. It is the Kundalini rising. The Kundalini (Sanskrit: कुण्डलिनी kuṇḍalinī, , "coiled one", in the concept of Dharma, refers to a form of primal energy (or shakti) said to be located at the base of the spine. On the Great Work ... Order of the Quest.

Baphomet presents it all... We do have a lower nature!

“The goat on the frontispiece carries the sign of the pentagram on the forehead, with one point at the top, a symbol of light, his two hands forming the sign of Hermeticism, the one pointing up to the white moon of Chesed, the other pointing down to the black one of Geburah.

As above So below... 

This sign expresses the perfect harmony of mercy with justice. His one arm is female, the other male like the ones of the androgyn of Khunrath, the attributes of which we had to unite with those of our goat because he is one and the same symbol.

The flame of intelligence shining between his horns is the magic light of the universal balance, the image of the soul elevated above matter, as the flame, whilst being tied to matter, shines above it.

The ugly beast’s head expresses the horror of the sinner, whose materially acting, solely responsible part has to bear the punishment exclusively; because the soul is insensitive according to its nature and can only suffer when it materializes.

The rod standing instead of genitals symbolizes eternal life, the body covered with scales the water, the semi-circle above it the atmosphere, the feathers following above the volatile.

Humanity is represented by the two breasts and the androgyn arms of this sphinx of the occult sciences.”

Baphomet depicts the duel nature of our Divinity and everything that impresses on Life.  We all have a lower nature as well as a higher nature.  We keep our soul easy by choosing the higher nature always over the lower.  In doing so we are acting out of our divine nature.

"The symbols of the wise always become the idols of the ignorant multitude. What the Chiefs of the Order really believed and taught, is indicated to the Adepts by the hints contained in the high Degrees of Free-Masonry, and by the symbols which only the Adepts understand.”

Tablet Nine - The Key of Freedom of Space

From the Emerald Tablets of Thoth...

"List Ye, Oh man, Hear ye my voice, Teaching of Wisdom and Light in this cycle; Teaching ye how to banish the darkness, Teaching ye how to bring light in thy life.  

Seek Ye, O man, to find the great pathway that leads to eternal life as a Sun.  Draw ye away from the veil of the darkness. Seek to become a light in the world. Make thyself a vessel for light,  A focus for the Sun of this space."  

Lift thou thine eyes to the Cosmos.

Lift thou thine eyes to the Light.
Speak in the words of the Dweller, the chant that calls down the Light.
Sing thou the song of freedom.
Sing thou the song of the Soul.
Create the high vibration that will make thee One with the Whole.
Blend all thyself with the Cosmos.
Grow into ONE with the Light.
Be thou a channel of order, a pathway of LAW to the world. 

Thy LIGHT, O man, is the great LIGHT, shining through the shadow of flesh.

Nine are the interlocked dimensions, and Nine are the cycles of space.
Nine are the diffusion's of consciousness, and Nine are the worlds within worlds.
Aye, Nine are the Lords of the cycles that come from above and below. 

Space is filled with concealed ones, for space is divided by time.
Seek ye the key to the time-space, and ye shall unlock the gate.
Know ye that throughout the time-space consciousness surely exist.
Though from our knowledge it is hidden, yet still forever exists. 

The key to worlds within thee are found only within.
For man is the gateway of mystery and the key that is One with the One. 

Seek ye within the circle.
Use the WORD I shall give.
Open the gateway within thee, and surely thou, too, shall live.
Man, ye think that ye liveth, but know it is life within death.
For as sure as ye are bound to your body, for you no life exists.
Only the Soul is space-free, has life that is really a life.

Man is light-born spirit.
But, without knowing, he can never be free.
Darkness surrounds the light-born.
Darkness fetters the Soul.
Only the one who is seeking  may ever hope to be free. 

Shadows around thee are falling, darkness fills all the space.
Shine forth, O LIGHT of the man-soul.
Fill thou the darkness of space. 

Ye are son of the GREAT LIGHT
Remember and ye shall be free.
Stay not thou in the shadows.
Spring forth from the darkness of night
Light, let thy Soul be, O SUN-BORN,
fill with glory of Light, Freed from the bonds of the darkness, a Soul that is One with the Light. 

Thou art the key to all wisdom.
Within thee is all time and space.
Live not in bondage to darkness.
Free thou, thy Light-form from night. 

Great Light that fills all the Cosmos, flow thou fully to man.
Make of his body a light-torch that shall never be quenched among men. 

Long in the past, sought I wisdom, knowledge not known to man.
Far to the past, I traveled into the space where time began.
Sought I ever knew knowledge to add to the wisdom I knew.
Yet only, I found, did the future hold the key to the wisdom I thought. 

Down, to the HOLES of AMENTI I journeyed, the greater knowledge to seek.
Ask of thee, LORDS of the CYCLES, they way to the wisdom I sought. Asked the LORDS this question:  

Where is the source of ALL?
Answered, in tones that were mighty, the voice of the LORD of the NINE: 

Free thou thy soul from thy body
and come forth with me to the LIGHT. 

Forth I came from my body, a glittering flame in the night. Stood I before the LORD,  bathed in the fire of LIFE. Seized was I then by a force,  great beyond knowledge of man. Cast was I to the Abyss through spaces unknown to man. 

Saw I the moldings of Order from the chaos and angles of night. Saw I the LIGHT, spring from Order and heard the voice of the Light. Saw I the flame of the Abyss,  casting forth Order and Light. Saw Order spring out of chaos. Saw Light giving forth Life. 

Then heard I the voice. 

Hear thou and understand.
The flame is the source of all things, containing all things in potentiality.
The Order that sent forth light  is the WORD and from the WORD,  COME LIFE and the existence of all. 

And again spoke the voice saying:
THE LIFE in thee is the WORD.
Find thou the LIFE within thee and have powers to use of the WORD. 

Long I watched the Light-flame, pouring forth from the Essence of Fire, realizing that LIFE but Order and that man is one with the fire. 

Back I came to my body stood again with the Nine, listened to the voice of the Cycles, vibrate with powers they spoke:    

Know ye, O Thoth, that LIFE is but thee WORD of the FIRE.  The LIFE forth ye seek before thee is but the WORD in the World as a fire.  Seek ye the path to the WORD and Powers shall surely be thine.

Then asked I of the Nine: 

O Lord, show me the path.
Give the path to the wisdom.
Show me the way to the WORD. 
Answered, me then, the LORD OF THE NINE: 

Through ORDER, ye shall find the way.
Saw ye that the WORD came from Chaos?
Saw ye not that LIGHT came from FIRE? 

Look in thy life for this order.  Balance and order thy life.
Quell all the Chaos of the emotions and thou shalt have order in LIFE.
ORDER brought forth from Chaos will bring thee the WORD of the SOURCE, will thee the power of CYCLES, and make of thy Soul a force that freewill extend through the ages, a perfect SUN from the Source. 

Listened I to the voice and deep thanked the words in my heart.
Forever have I sought for order that I might draw on the WORD.
Know ye that he who attains it must ever in ORDER be for use  of the WORD though this order has never and can never be. 

Take ye these words, O man. As part of thy life, let them be.
Seek thee to conquer this order and One with the WORD thou shalt be. 

Put forth thy effort in gaining LIGHT on the pathway of Life.
Seek to be One with the SUN/state.
Seek to be solely the LIGHT.
Hold thou thy thought on the Oneness of Light with the body of man.
Know that all is Order from Chaos born into light.

 Recent erosion and seismic tests at the Giza Plateau, indicated that the Great Sphinx may be much older structure than previously thought, and along with the site of Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, both seem to coincide with Plato's story of Atlantis.

Is it possible that Gobekli Tepe and the monument of The Great Sphinx could be remnants of the same advanced civilization Plato referenced in his story (Divine Race), one that was aggressively advancing against its neighbors in Africa and the Middle East, or do those belong to another culture?

And what about the advanced proto-Euphratean people who descended upon the Mesopotamia around 7000 BC, from a region "unknown."

Could these enigmatic people be the refugees of the same culture who fled the Mediterranean basin and moved eastwards to escape the inundation?

Undoubtedly, they could have brought with them the story of the great flood as well as the skills and technology to incite yet another great civilization, like that of ancient Sumer (just as the survivors around the Cyclades and neighboring islands may have ultimately contributed to the rise of the Minoans).

Baucis and Philemon .. If you do it for the least of them you have done it unto me.

 taken from Ovid's (Metamorphoses VIII:621-96)

Zeus and Hermes came disguised as ordinary peasants, and began asking the people of the town for a place to sleep that night. They were rejected by all before they came to Baucis and Philemon's simple rustic cottage. Though the couple were poor, their generosity far surpassed that of their rich neighbours, at whose homes the gods found "all the doors bolted and no word of kindness given, so wicked were the people of that land."

After serving the two guests food and wine (which Ovid depicts with pleasure in the details), Baucis noticed that, although she had refilled her guest's beechwood cups many times, the pitcher was still full (from which derives the phrase "Mercury's Pitcher"). Realising that her guests were gods, she and her husband "raised their hands in supplication and implored indulgence for their simple home and fare." Philemon thought of catching and killing the goose that guarded their house and making it into a meal, but when he went to do so, it ran to safety in Zeus's lap. Zeus said they need not slay the goose and that they should leave the town. This was because he was going to destroy the town and all those who had turned them away and not provided due hospitality. He told Baucis and Philemon to climb the mountain with him and Hermes, not to turn back until they reached the top.

After climbing to the summit ("as far as an arrow could shoot in one pull"), Baucis and Philemon looked back on their town and saw that it had been destroyed by a flood and that Zeus had turned their cottage into an ornate temple. The couple's wish to be guardians of the temple was granted. They also asked that when time came for one of them to die, that the other would die as well. Upon their death, the couple were changed into an intertwining pair of trees, one oak and one linden, standing in the deserted boggy terrain.

In Matthew in the scriptures in chapter 25 Jesus tells a similar story.  He says, "Who are you? I never knew you." Because he said, "If you do it for the least of them you have done it unto me".  People only were nice to those they felt they could benefit from and not in the act of love.  Jesus points out that he was the prisoner they turned away and the homeless man they ignored etc.

This is the wisdom that is to be found, there is no division.  One cannot turn their backs from another ones suffering and consider themselves enlightened in any way shape of form.  The great unwashed to have a story and they are apart of the divinity too.  

However this has an opposite side, one must not throw pearls after swine.  One should not allow ones self or important resources to be abused. There has to be a noticeable change occur in the complainant and this understanding if there is evident from the beginning.   This is the limitation of personal attitude. 

Attitude is a very personal thing its the outward sign of what is within.  It is our disposition we display and our face we show the world.  I feel it is a hint to the heart energy within the mortal body that retains the divine spark, where there is light there can be no dark.  Absolute truth cannot corrupt itself.

In the Old Testament there is the story of Lot and his wife as they leave the city.   He asks his wife not to turn around or she would be turned into a pillar of salt. 

Salt is a crystal and I find this interesting. Lot is saying to his wife here, "You will not go any further in your journey  [vibratory core].  You will be stuck where you are. 

The advice to us here is this -  Do not look back on the past other than to learn and keep moving onwards.  She didn't listen and was turned to Salt.  This shows Humanity not moving to Divinity.  Salt being the salt of the Earth.

I feel it also shows us that our past can be made into a shrine or temple as an outward sign to show these changes that have occurred inwardly in our soul.

Although, it's a common legend among many ancient civilizations, the origin of the The Phoenix myth is attributed to the Egyptians. A civilization that was obsessed with eternal life. Phoenix is the Greek name given to a mythological bird offered in sacrifice to Ra, god of the Sun in ancient Egypt. This bird was similar to an eagle and possessed a splendid golden-red plumage that made it look like it was wrapped in flames. In some versions, The Phoenix was shown in flames rather than in feathers. The Phoenix lived in Arabia. According to the legends only one Phoenix lived at one time and lived for 500 years. At the end of its life-cycle, the Phoenix built a nest as it was dying and set the nest on fire and was consumed by the flames. After its death, a new Phoenix would then arise from the ashes and the new Phoenix was reborn. This cycle was repeated over and over. The Phoenix was the symbolic representation of the death and rebirth of the sun.

The Egyptian Bennu
Usually depicted as a heron , peacock , or eagle with beautiful red and gold feathers. It had a long straight back and two feathers on it's head. The Bennu (Phoenix) lived on the ben-ben stone or obelisk within the sanctuary of Heliopolis. The Bennu was said to have created itself from the fire that burned on the sacred Persea tree in Heliopolis. Or in another legend, it was the first life form to have appeared on the mound that rose from the watery chaos of the first creation. The mound was called the ben-ben and was the origin of the city Heliopolis. (Also said to have sprung from the heart of Osiris asa living symbol of the god. )The Bennu's true home however is Arabia. It only comes back to Heliopolis to die and be reborn. Osiris is said to have given the secret of eternal life to Bennu. The Bennu symbolizes rebirth and a period of new wealth and fertility, when the nile floods the earth each year. Bennu is a personification of creation and life force. According to Herodotus, Bennu flies to the sun temple in Heliopolis after 500 years, to build it's funeral pyre with incense sticks. Then it climbed onto the pyre and waited for the sun's rays to ignite the pyre while singing a song of rare and incredible beauty. It is said that a new Bennu immediatly rises from the ashes to fly it's parent's ashes to Heliopolis accompanied by turtledoves. Pliny however says that from the ashes emerges a small worm that becomes the Bennu at the end of the day.

The Chinese Feng
The feng huang is the phoenix of Chinese writers, and, like its counterpart in Arabian story, is adorned with everything that is beautiful among birds. The etymology of the name implies that it is the Emperor of all birds; and as is the unicorn among quadrupeds, so is the phoenix the most honorable among the feathered tribes. It is described by one author, 'as resembling a wild swan before, and a unicorn behind, it has the throat of a swallow, the bill of a fowl, the neck of a snake, the tail of a fish (having twelve feathers, except in years with an intercalandery month when there are thirteen), the forehead of a crane, the crown of a mandarin drake, the stripes of a dragon, and the vaulted back of a tortoise. The feathers have five colors, which are named after the five cardinal virtues, and it is five cubits in height; the tail is graduated like Pandean pipes, and its song resembles the music of that instrument, having five modulations.

It appears only when reason prevails in the country, hiding itself at other times; and two are never seen at once; when it flies, a train of small birds always attends it. Like the unicorn it is benevolent, and it will not peck or injure living insects, nor tread upon living herbs; it alights only upon the wu t'ung tree, or Dryandra cordifolia, feeds only on the seeds of the bamboo, and quenches its thirst only at the sweet fountains.' To this account another writer adds, 'that this bird resides in the Vermilion Hills, where it eats and drinks at its pleasure, waiting for the time when peace shall pervade the country. There are four sorts which differ only in the color of their plumage.
The Arabian phoenix was described as a kind of eagle, but the Chinese represent their bird as belonging to the gallinaceous family; its eggs are the food of fairies. The drawing of it does not correspond very closely with the fanciful description given above, from which it would seem that the artist had taken the Argus pheasant as his pattern, making such modifications as suited its divine character and his notions of its form. The phoenix appears from the first to have been entirely an imaginary creature of Chinese writers, as it were a kind of inanimate yet superbly elegant statue, which they had full liberty to vivify and embellish with every benevolent quality, and make it throughout perfectly beautiful and good. It is said to have appeared about the time that Confucius was born, and is usually represented as flying in the air, while the unicorn ranges on the hills where the mother of Confucius stands in the foreground. The phoenix is often seen rudely depicted on the sterns of junks, standing on one leg and spreading its wings.
As the phoenix and the unicorn do not prey on living creatures, they are very acceptable to the Buddhists, who disapprove of the unnecessary taking of life. Many Chinese beliefs have similarly become incorporated with the Buddhism of Indian origin, which has readily adapted itself to Chinese soil. The wu t'ung, or dryandra, famous in legendary lore as the only tree on which the phoenix would alight, is an ornamental species, which grows to great height very rapidly, and has a bell-shaped flower, white without and reddish-brown within. The leaves are very large; they open early and commence to fall at the beginning of autumn. The seeds enter into the composition of the moon-cakes eaten by the Chinese at the autumnal festival of the eighth month.
The pheasant, as an emblem of beauty, is sometimes used in place of the phoenix. The designation "feng" really "includes two distinct varieties, an archaic kind like an Argus pheasant found on ancient bronzes, and a later representation which apparently combines the characteristics of pheasant and peacock.''2 The two-fold expression "feng huang" might perhaps better be rendered "Crested Love Pheasants." "In poetry many covert allusions to sexual pairing are intimated by reference to the inseparable fellowship of the feng and the huang.
The phoenix is only supposed to appear in times of peace and prosperity. It is the second among the four supernatural creatures, the first being the dragon, the third, the unicorn, and the fourth, the tortoise. It presides over the southern quadrant of the heavens, and therefore symbolizes sun and warmth for summer and harvest. "This divine bird is the product of the sun or of fire, hence it is often pictured gazing on a ball of fire. The sun being the yang or active principle, the phoenix has great influence in the begetting of children…It is six feet in height…. Its first recorded appearance is in the reign of Huang Ti, some 2,600 years BC It again showed itself in the next reign, and two phoenixes nested in Yao's palace about 2350 BC. It is not however Until the Han dynasty that we hear of worship being paid to it. Later its appearance becomes a commonplace in Chinese history, and is sure to glorify a peaceful reign or flatter a successful ruler.
Its last advent was at Feng-huang fu in Anhui, where it scratched at Hung Wu's father's grave, and the imperial power passed into Hung Wu's hands. This town now sends out enormous numbers of pictures of the phoenix to all parts of the country.

Jewish Milcham
I shall multiply my days as the Hol, the phoenix." (Job 29:18)
Also known as Hol. After Eve ate the apple, she grew jealous of the other animals immortality and innocence. So she persuaded all of the animals to eat the fruit and share her current state of disgrace. Only the Milcham did not give into her. God rewarded the bird by putting him in a walled city to live in peace for 1,000 years.
At the end of every thousand year period, the bird was consumed by fire and reborn from an egg found in the ashes. Another legend has it that all the Milcham looses all of it's feathers and shrinks to the size of an egg. It is then reborn from that egg. He is called the guardian of the terrestial sphere. He follows the sun in it's orbit and shields the earth from the sun's rays. If there was no Milcham there would be no life on earth. Written on the Hol's right wing are the words "Neither the earth produces me, nor the heavens, but only wings of fire." He eats the manna of heaven. He excretes a worm which then excretes a cinnamen that is favored by princes. Enoch describes the hol as having the feet and tails of lions and the heads of crocodiles. They are purple and have twelve wings. They are nine hundred measures in size and follow the sun bringing heat and dew as ordained by god.

Japanese Ho-Oo
The Japanese call the phoenix Karura, or The Ho-Oo (Ho being male and Oo being female) and he is an enormous fire breathing eagle with golden feathers and magic gems crowning his forehead, the karura or ho came to the earth to do good deeds for mankind. The appearance of the Ho-Oo represents the begining of a new era. The Ho-Oo represents the sun, fidelity and obeidiance.

The Classical Phoenix
The Classical Phoenix is perhaps the best known. The Phoenix's true home is in Arabia , near a cool well. At dawn every morning the Phoenix would sing asong so beautiful that even Apollo would stop to listen. This Phoenix lives anywhere from 500-1461 years (according to different people) When it is near death it builds a pyre of myrrh and other spices , and sets it own fire and is burned by the flames. The new phoenix from the ashes takes the remains of it's predicessor ., embalms them in an egg of myrr and takes them to the city of the sun Heliopolis , to depoisit them on the altar of the sun god. There only exsists one phoenix at any given time. A symbolic representation of the Death and rebirth of the sun or just the sun. Some legends tell of the phoenix rising from the ashes after three days. It is also described as being either eagle like or heron like. It lives on dew, killing nothing and crushing nothing that it touches. Generally considered the king of birds. It has alternativly been called the bird of the sun, of Assyria, of Arabia, of the Ganges, thelong-lived bird and the Egyptian bird. The earliest referance to the Phoenix was made by Hesiod in the 8th century B.C., but the most detailed acocunt is by Heroditus. The Phoenix is associated with the sun god Apollo
Most beings spring from other individuals; but there is a certain kind which reproduces itself. The Assyrians call it the Phoenix. It does not live on fruit or flowers, but on frankincense and odoriferous gums. When it has lived five hundred years, it builds itself a nest in the branches of an oak, on the top of a palm tree. In this it collects cinnamon and spikenard, and myrrh, and of these materials builds a pile on which it deposits itself, and dying, breathes out its last breath amidst odors. From the body of the parent bird, a young Phoenix issues forth, destined to live as long a life as its predecessor. When this has grown up and gained sufficient strength, it lifts its nest from the tree (its own cradle and its parent's sepulcher), and carries it to the city of Heliopolis in Egypt, and deposits it in the temple of the sun. -- Ovid According to Hesiod the phoenix lives 972 generations of 33 years each. That would point the birth of the phoenix at the same moment that all the stars return to their starting positions and begin a new orbit in an eternal cycle. This is spoken of as the Great Year. Spoken plainly, the phoenix was a mirror of the universe.

Simurgh
The persians believe in the Simurgh. The Simurgh is a gigantic bird that has lived so long that it has seen the world destroyed three times. The Simurgh has the head of a dog, four wings, orange metallic feathers, a silver head, a peacock's tail and the claws of a lion. I resides in the Tree of Knowledge that is laden with seeds from all the plants in the world. When the Simurgh leaves the tree it shakes the tree so that seeds flew in all directions. The Simurgh also lives on the mountain Alburz. The Simurgh has been known to take children in to foster them. Her touch is supposed to heal even the direst of wounds. The Simurgh is promenantly featured in the Shahnameh, an epic poem that describes the legendary kings of Persia. In this poem the Simurgh takes the infant Zal and fosters him when his father casts him out for having white hair. When Zal is grown he is a great warrior and his father seeks him out. Unfortunatly he cannot reach the home of the gods. Simurgh sees him and pities him. She takes Zal to his father and gives him one feather that he can use to summon her when in great need. Zal adapts to life nicely when he meets Rudabeh. Rudabeh and Zal finally marry. Not long after Rudabeh has a tough labor. Zal burns the Simurghs feather. Simurgh tells Zal how to preform a ceasarian. The child is Rustam, persias greatest hero.
Another tail is the parliament of birds The king of birds Simurgh drops a feather, when the other birds hear this they try to seek him out. Knowing that the king's name means thirty birds and that he lives in the mountains of Kaf. The birds travel to Kaf, among the way all but thirty of the birds quit the quest. When they finally reach Kaf they find out that they are the Simurgh and the Simurgh in in each of them.

Phoung
the Phoung of Vietnamese mythology is the same bird. The only differences to date is that the Vietnamese state that the Phoung has the breast of a swallow, aswell as the at other body characteristics of the The Chinese Feng. And that it carries either the two sacred scrolls or a box that contains the two sacred scrolls in it's beak.

The Astronomical Phoenix
Phe (Phoenix) is a constellation in the Southern Hemisphere of Earth near Toucana and Sculptor named by John Bayer in 1603. This constellation is almost universally recognized as a bird. The Phoenix cluster is a dense expanse of unexplored stars, named for the Phoenix Asteroids in the 20th Century film "Dark Star", by John Carpenter.

The words of Vitruvius - Illustrated by Leonardo Da Vinci 1490.

The truth is not arbitrary.

 

So who is Vitruvian Man and what does he really represent?  This is the question that has been asked by many a true seeker since Leonardo Da Vinci created this work in 1490.  The diagram was never officially titled but was often called the proportions of Man or the Canon of Proportions and can now be found at the "Gallerie dell' Accademia in Venice Italy stored as catalogue 228.

The diagram was based on the measurements given by the great ancient Roman Architect Vitruvius.  Many consider Vitruvius to be the "First Architect" of modern man hence how this diagram became known as Vitruvian Man.

Vitruvius himself however states that he sources much of his work from much earlier material so it would be more accurate to view him as relaying ancient knowledge of proportions of man in nature and God.  Not only man in the microcosm but the macrocosm of cosmic man known in Kabbalah as the Macrosopus or (God as he is in himself).

The Cosmic Man or Macrosopus then seeded onto the physical plane as a Divine reflection of himself in the microcosm manifest into the material world.

It is from this first Divine fragmented imprint of the cosmic man upon our earthly foundation that all mankind springs forth to flourish and expand as divine creations being experienced by the creator.

However before we jump ahead we must start at the very beginning and just as we do with books and words we start at the beginning with the language of symbolism too.
So let us uncover what is hidden beneath the surface of this diagram for those with eyes willing to see and look deeper into the language of the symbolism.

At our first glance of this diagram we can see a man shown at front with his arms outstretched as each part of his body is touching all four sides of the square and circle encompasses this square and touching it at the bottom.

Directly behind the man we see another figure with arms and legs outstretched in a diagonal position - this is another figure of a man we are told? .... But are we so sure of this?

It seems what many who look at this diagram fail to see is there is more hidden information waiting to be discovered about the figures in this diagram.  For if we look closer we can see clues in the symbolism that Leonardo Di Vinci was not just depicting first man but his mirrored counterpart also First Woman.

This is symbolically shown in the text on the diagram which is written in mirrored form, he was symbollically relaying here and also the mental and physical aspects of divine intelligence are mirrored in each individual gender.

The first clue in the diagram can be found in her rounded hip for as we know it is the Female that has rounded hips not the Male.   But still we are given more clues when we zoom in closer to look at the details on the face.  We see there are two different sides to this face.

On the left we see the Male is represented, his eye is light symbolic of his connection to the sun and matter, and his neck is also very masculine. Then we see the Female with her softer features and darker eyes symbolic of the moon and Aether.  Her neck is also more refined and less masculine.

The female is positioned behind the Male.  This is because he represents the first begotten Son of the Father, the first "Mental" fragment of the Divine intelligence manifest  from the Zero (0) that which contains nothing but also contains the WHOLE.

From this first mental reflection manifest into the material as his Divine Man and his first Female twin is then created and then subsequently the other fragments of the Divine Cosmic Man are brought into form as the 8 Messiahs and 88 Divine Beings.

However after his first emanation of Mankind is created in the material it is then the Female that brings God down into the physical plane birthing the Divinity of all mankind through her womb.

This is why we see the Vesica Pisces repeatedly shown in Christian Mythology.  Within the Divine mind both Male and Female exist however it is the Female creation forces and influences needed for all life to procreate.

We can see the microcosm of these creation forces also within the Sun and the Moon, and so it is such with our Great Cosmic Father and Mother - this is also represented in this circle on the diagram and also why symbolically why the Female is placed behind the Male symbolising this birthing creation force that allows him to manifest materially.

So from the first fragment of Divine intelligence seeded onto foundation springs forth all other Divine fragments which we will find represented in Vitruvian Man.

So it is first man we see symbolically represented here just as we see Jesus on the cross in Christian Mythology symbolizing the first emanation of the Divine Mind (KETHER) from which all else is manifest.

So it seems that this Divine creation has a measurement in Nature and Man and it was relayed by Vitruvius to be distributed in this manner.
A palm is four fingers
A foot is four palms
A cubit is SIX PALMS
Four cubits make a man
A pace is FOUR Cubits
A man is 24 Palms

The FOUR fingers of the Palm representing the FOUR Messiahs shown as "Whole" just as they are shown with in the YIN / YANG.  However God has two palms so within the layered fractals of  this symbolism we can also find the "8" which represents the eight Messiahs individually and the two thumbs represent God in both aspects of Gender.

On the diagram the "4" transitioning to an "8" is symbolized by where she places her hands at the corners.  For a square is both 4 and 8 if we count the sides and points.  This shows the Messiahs can be represented as whole also known as tribes or as individual.

This was also relayed by Leonardo underneath the diagram for below the drawing itself  is a single line equal to the side of a square and divided into four cubits , of which the outer two are divided into six palms each, two of which have the mirrored text  notation "PALMI"; the outermost two palms are divided into four fingers each and are each denoted "DITI"

These 8 seeds of Divinity are also represented within the sacred geometry of this Rosicrucian Cross.  This is also depicting the Four Races  by the four creatures - Eagle Man Bull and Lion.

The Eagle represents the White Race, Kether and the Tribe of Dan

Man represents the Red Race, Malkuth and the Tribe of Reuben

Lion represents the Black race, Chokmar and the Tribe of Judah

Bull represents the  Yellow race, Binah and the Tribe of Ephraim.

For each of the creatures are symbolic for not only the Messiahs but each RACE they represent within their Divinity.

Vitruvius continues on that a foot has four palms, and we now understand that a palm has four fingers we can now calculate that a foot equates to 16 Fingers - so now we have the other Divine ones that make up each race accounted 8 + 16 = 24.

Then he states that a cubit is 6 Palms, again we can equate 6 Palms to 24 Fingers and now we have the Cubit equating to ONE RACE of 24 Divine Beings. 
Lastly he states that it is Four Cubits that make a man,  a PACE is FOUR CUBITS and a MAN is 24 Palms.

However this man he has just measured out is the cosmic man or "MACROSOPHOS" mirrored onto the pysical plane as 96 Divine Fragments across ALL races and dispersed to the FOUR corners of our Earth.

What we have decoded from the words of Vitruvius and this diagram by Leonardo Di Vinci is the true Greatness that lies within all Mankind.... and just as the seasons and the Sun's Light recedes into the darker days of Winter so does that Divine Spark and memory of Divinity we carry within each of us.  Memories of those long past days of Summer are stirring within us again.
