Alan Jones - Nick Cater

We love Alan Jones and I personally applaud his efforts to get the message out there about what is really going on with the land of this country.

I said the SAME THING... Mining caused that tragedy because they changed the riverbanks as well up stream from Grantham and mined them and rivers get very very angry like people when they treated in such a poor manner.

International Women's Day ( IWD) 2014

International Working Women's Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political, and social achievements.

Started as a Socialist political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries, primarily in Europe, including Russia. The UN theme for International Women's Day 2014 is "Equality for Women is Progress for All".

The Google Doodle on the eve of IWD 2014 (7 March 2014) featured an International Women's day doodle video, showing images and videos of women around the world, with music by Zap Mama.

American singer Beyoncé Knowles also posted an International Women's Day video to her YouTube account. Throughout the song, her song ***Flawless plays, which includes a portion of the "we should all be feminists" speech given by author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.  Knowles is a modern-day feminist.   Wikipedia

Bellingen 2bbb Radio Celebrated International Woman's Day with female presenters hosting a day of woman in music and still more woman being interviewed for doing wonderful things simply being woman.

I shared a show and we interviewed a lady who rode a motor'sbike around the world.  She was an inspiration given she was 57 years old and only began riding seven years ago.

CORPORATE GREED

IMG 5020
Out at Leards Forest

This is a material element of their CORPORATE GREED ... the SMASHING of the AUSTRALIAN BUSH / Aussies ought to be ashamed if they are not unequivocally outraged by this.

If 45% don't know yet what CSG is ... then tell someone today. Talk to Someone at the bus stop, the hair dressers or the doctors,  Don't forget the School P&C and the ladies of the  CWA.

Make sure you have a COMMUNITY RADIO PERSON on side in ALL AREAS so there is a voice that is free.

Bellingen Memorial Hall in Hyde Street Bellingen, what a wonderful venue for a party for a radio station.  I am sure this would have been perfect

I wanted to go but found I couldn't go alone as usual.  I miss out on so much being disabled this way.  It is my own doing and I will undo this the best I can.  Perhaps it is the memories that bring me undone and this is why I cannot face things alone.

Montana and myself on air at 2bbb
I would have loved to have attended this with Montana and anyone that Montana cared to bring along to help celebrate this most awesome occasion.  I lifted a drink at home instead and thought about everyone having fun up at the Mem Hall.  I was there in spirit because my thoughts were there.

‘Circus In The Sky’ - 7 days to go!!!!

Bliss n Eso 2011 Big Day Out

Bliss N Eso Unveil ‘Circus In The Sky’ Tracklist And Album Cover

Written by Sarah Bella on 15th May, 2013
Aussie hip hop lynchpins Bliss N Eso have revealed the tracklisting and cover art for their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Circus In The Sky. If the list of collaborators is anything to go by, this record is going to be a corker.

Hip hop icon Nas is easily the biggest name to feature, with the New Yorker teaming up with the trio on I Am Somebody. We can also expect appearances from Melbourne soul export Daniel Merriweather and rising American singer-songwriter Ceekay Jones. Track 9, Reservoir Dogs, has piqued our interest – with 360, Pez, Seth Sentry and Drapht all appearing. It’s pretty much a who’s who of contemporary Australian hip hop. Wowzers.

The artwork features the same winged creature from Bliss N Eso’s last 2 records, Running on Air and Flying Colours, but this time it’s not Steve Cross behind the illustrations but renowned digital artist Justin Maller, who has worked with the likes of Nike and Coca-Cola.

As per usual, the Sydney outfit have crammed in a lot of value for your buck, squeezing 17 tracks on to the album, including previously released singles House Of Dreams and Home Is Where The Heart Is.

Circus In The Sky
is available for pre-order now at Bliss N Eso’s official site, along with a bunch of neat goodies like signed CDs, T-shirts, phone covers and stubby holders.

Bliss N Eso last week announced House Of Dreams, their first headlining tour since 2011, which will see the boys on a 7-date trip around the country.

Today is also the shortest day of the year for us down here and here is some information of the day as it stands:

Summer (Winter) Solstice

Friday will be a long day full of sunlight for those of you in the Arctic Circle…24 hours long, to be exact. At 5:04 GMT (1:04 am EDT) on June 21, the sun will be straight overhead along the Tropic of Cancer, and the North Pole will reach its maximum tilt toward the sun for the year. Areas within the Arctic Circle will watch the sun circle through the sky for a full 24 hours. This event is known in the Northern Hemisphere as the Summer Solstice, the longest daylight period of the year for those outside the tropics. Sunrise in Reykjavik, Iceland will occur at 2:55 am, local time, with sunset at 12:04 am. The Summer Solstice is a cause for celebration for many cultures around the world.

Of course, we cannot forget the other half of the Earth. The Southern Hemisphere will be experiencing their Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year. The Southern half of the Earth will reach its maximum tilt away from the sun, marking the beginning of their winter season. Sunrise at Sydney, Australia will occur at 7:00 am local time, with sunset at 4:54 pm.

Today we had a massive day with computer crashes but the show always goes on and we had Glen Schaefer Lock the Mid North Coast  on the Drive Show / Melonpop Drive at 2bbb and and a very informative interview with him indeed.

IMG 3617 CSG?
Armidale Action

Glen and I covered a huge array of topics concerning coal seam gas mining and mining in general.  We played a few momentous tunes but basically the show was taken up hugely with discussion and what important discussion there was as well.
The important things discussed were the Hillgrove mine east of Armidale and west of Dorrigo

Watching these videos and not being swayed by the mainstream media push to say that this type of mining is fine for everyone. It is not fine and it is very destructive.

Coal-seam radio ads axed for 'inaccuracies
by: Nick Leys From: The AustralianMarch 27, 2012 12:00AM

SYDNEY'S 2GB radio station has dumped two advertisements spruiking the coal-seam gas industry on the basis they contain inaccuracies.

 IMG_3702

The ads by the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association are in response to what it claims have been a sustained attack by broadcaster Alan Jones.

The ads, which were broadcast yesterday several times during Jones's program, were to be the start of a campaign pushing the $46 billion industry's claims of economic and environmental benefits. The APPEA said Jones refused attempts for a representative to discuss the issue on air.

However, Jones told The Australian the ads had been pulled because "they are not telling the truth . . . They've gone to air but they won't be going to air again."

He has questioned claims in the ads that the NSW community wanted the same CSG industry as Queensland and that the industry would create revenue and jobs for the NSW economy as wrong.

Jones asserts the industry has questions to answer about the effects of the CSG process on the environment and those nearby.
The Yaarn here is this:  All these companies are appearing to lie to get the point across that they want and need this mining! WE DO NOT NEED THIS DESTRUCTION TO COUNTRY!  Go away and get out of our land!.

Thoughts

"The longer we dwell on our misfortunes the greater is their power to harm us."
Bastille Day Quotes by Voltaire, French philosopher, 1694-1778

IMG_2620
Reflections of Dawn not thinking

Ever heard someone say, "Thoughts are creative"?  That is a fairly open sort of statement and it doesn't enlighten you to the true capacity that thought has.  There is much that needs to be understood about thoughts and the power that these produce causing the attraction or repulsion syndrome.

Because we are basically electric individuals we are resonating a vibration.  This vibration changes with each thought we produce in our minds.  If someone thinks a lot then they are resonating a lot.  If someone thinks very little and does not delve they are resonating a lesser frequency.  The emotion is the vehicle that causes this resonance.  The positive emotions as well as the negative emotions both cause differing resonances. Because all things are ruled by duality, there is a positive charge and a negative charge and these are our thoughts and they charge our bodies accordingly.  The electricity produced is what causes the actual attraction.  Electricians should love this understanding.

Therefore if something very bad happens, this is perhaps why things come one after another as issues to deal with.  People say it never rains but it pours.  This is another way of saying when something bad happens then lots of bad things happen. The moment we believe this statement we have shot ourselves in the foot right there.  This belief system will inch its way into our thoughts and sure enough it will attract more of the same.

As  human beings who are  receiving and sending aerials walking around, it is important to have great thoughts and to get away from the negative emotionally draining situations that sap our vital energy.  When I have been in damaging situations and I am left saddened, I felt my Kundalini stay low for a good while.  This sadness is the perfect vehicle which creates more sadness and it is a domino effect on our Psyche.

One seriously has to take themselves in hand and seed the thoughts that come into the brain around negative situations that produce negative emotions.  If only we understood more about this in depth as a nation.  If we did this, then we could change the consciousness of the entire planet and the results would be astounding as the speed of which change occurs would be evident almost immediately.

SIMPLY RED - SIS

RED
"Middle Age is that perplexing time of life
when we hear two voices calling us.
One saying, Why not? and the other, Why bother?"

Sidney J Harris

The future retiring age in Australia will rise to 67 years.  There are some who are not completely suited to this model of sheep herding by the government.  It may get worse yet before it gets better.
Real countries don't put their elderly in holding paddocks (nursing homes)  to die like we do.  It is a sad reflection of our society and its present values regarding the elders.
