Other recent research has measured how the amount of water stored on land has changed. The researchers did this by measuring changes in Earth’s gravity field, using GRACE satellite data from NASA collected between 2002 and 2014.
The gravity field is affected by the amount of groundwater, as well as water in lakes and rivers, with groundwater being by far the largest of the three. Changes in the amount of this water causes small but measurable changes in the Earth’s gravity field. The data show that water stored on land has increased from 2002 to 2014.We cannot let them keep going because this activity threatens the entire planet

Last week Australia lost a true hero, George Bender.The Project also covered the story.
In 2009 a small rag tag group of people joined forces under the banner of the Western Downs Alliance. The only thing we had in common was our will to stand up for our families and land from being destroyed by the coal seam gas industry.
Many in our own community turned their backs on us, we were shunned by the people in the town of Chinchilla and Tara. They didn’t want to be seen standing by us as we challenged the government and mining companies for the right to live peacefully. There were very few who didn’t criticize and ignore us. One of those who choose to stand by us was George Bender. George would get in his Land Cruiser and drive out to the estates and stand shoulder to shoulder with us as we battled a mining juggernaut.
George put his reputation at risk to try and help us. He didn’t care who we were, what he cared about was our families and the land beneath our feet.
George's family had been a part of the Chinchilla community for 150 years. The Bender family is well respected and well liked with a reputation for being good farmers and good people. Many in country Queensland look at reputation as everything but George threw all that away to help us in our fight for justice.
While George was helping us fight he was also waging a battle against Origin Energy as they wanted to put gas wells on his land. George refused to give Origin access, he told them to take a hike, they were not welcome on his land. The battle raged on for ten years. Slowly George was worn down. The will to keep Origin Energy off his land was as strong as ever but his will to continue the day to day conflict took its toll on George as a person. In the end, instead of being dragged through land court he decided he no longer wanted to watch the potential destruction of the farm which had taken five generations of his family's blood, sweat and tears to build.
On the 14th of October George took his own life. It's really important to note here that George said he was not depressed. He told his daughter, Helen, that he was heart broken.
Today George will be laid to rest in the town he loved until his last days. George leaves behind his wife Pam Bender, his daughter Helen Bender, four sons and many more grandchildren to all those above I extend much love and respect and send strength to you all at this difficult time. I also extend the same feeling to the Nothdurft family who were friends of George Bender and who are also in a battle for their very existence in a district they love.
I ask every person who reads this to keep #GeorgeBenders memory alive.
This is not over, not by a long shot. Today we will grieve tomorrow we will wage war! #enoughisenough

That nearly 500 people of the above tribes are residents of the land excised from the Aboriginal Reserve in Arnhem Land.(English language translation of what was written below)
That the procedures of the excision of this land and the fate of the people on it were never explained to them beforehand, and were kept secret from them.
That when Welfare Officers and Government officials came to inform them of decisions taken without them and against them, they did not undertake to convey to the Government in Canberra the views and feelings of the Yirrkala aboriginal people.
That the land in question has been hunting and food gathering land for the Yirrkala tribes from time immemorial: we were all born here.
That places sacred to the Yirrkala people, as well as vital to their livelihood are in the excised land, especially Melville Bay.
That the people of this area fear that their needs and interests will be completely ignored as they have been ignored in the past, and they fear that the fate which has overtaken the Larrakeah tribe will overtake them.
And they humbly pray that the Honourable the House of Representatives will appoint a Committee, accompanied by competent interpreters, to hear the views of the people of Yirrkala before permitting the excision of this land.
They humbly pray that no arrangements be entered into with any company which will destroy the livelihood and independence of the Yirrkala people. And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray God to help you and us.

This is absolute treasonous behaviour by our governments to allow this to even get on the drawing board. We are being governed by psychopaths it appears.The port expansion will require massive dredging and dumping in the World Heritage Area, and poses a grave risk to an already vulnerable ecosystem.

Brian is clearly saying this to people "how can you continue to trust this system". "All of the politicians are the same self serving, selfish, narcissistic persons who give with one hand and take twice as much with the other by the splendid use of dialectics.
This is my interpretation, and I stand behind Brian with this opinion. Although, we may differ in the manner in which we think it can be healed. Personally, I look forward to cultural change being manifested. I see a vision for the earth, and the earth being put first and foremost. This has to be done immediately, because a sick land has sick people.
Images at FlickrWell, I guess most people who have seen me in videos and Youtube's have watched me crying, pretty much everywhere really. Well I'm at it again this morning. I just found the old digital camera and have gone for a stroll or stumble down memory lane, a sad sad journey.
Took me all the way back to when my grandchildren were only just becoming impacted by this filthy unconventional gas industry. Back to a time when I believed in government departments, back to a time when honest public servants could have saved impacts on my family, not by doing anything but their job properly.
It is slap you in the face obvious experience when you go back a few years and a lot of birthday images in a short while. Someone yesterday spoke of justice, we have experienced injustice at its extreme and know it will never be addressed.
To watch what is now alarmingly obvious as rashes appeared and went, a string of photos of kids with blood noses, young faces in distress and we didn't see it at the time, I cry in guilt and I shudder in anger at the same time if that makes sense. To go back to to a time when there was no thought of epileptic seizures, no fear of them, no sleepless nights because of them. No changed personality that appeared in reverse before my eyes.
Anyway, Australians have chosen to allow us, lots of us out here to become collateral damage, lots more to follow, tens of thousands to follow. No need for university studies, it happens before your eyes.
Imagine of Q Health did their job and tested humans, children, what about the gas inspectors who found no hydrocarbon in a bore that lit, what about the LNG enforcement unit who changed to the CSG compliance unit and again to something i cant remember and will again under the new government. What about the CMC not investigating my complaint and in fact asking the very department I complained about to investigate not my complaint but one person who I already said was no doubt not corrupt just stupid.
So lets guess how many other families, how many other grand parents will have to look back at images of their lives changed forever because Australians said it was all worth it for the DEBT.
This industry creates more DEBT than it pays, we have the USA experience to prove that, but sadly we have no f@cking media to put it out to the public. Anyway, we were one of the first and that was before the industry was up and running, now I watch people around starting to fall like nine pins asking why were we not warned.
I did all I could think of to warn the population at large, you didn't listen, you said not in my backyard, we will use Brian's experience to warn our regions, and you should have. But every day the list of the HARMED grows, every day people flee, every day the government lies, the industry lies, every day.
I know people see me as an angry bitter disillusioned grandfather, I know I lash out often at those who don't deserve it, but i would say this simple fact, live my life and show me you could do better. Actually many of you WILL live my life, let me know how that goes.
The tears and the anger don't help, maybe some may save themselves using this warning, or maybe Australians will just say, why didn't someone warn us. This is a global assault for greed and control, don't worry I'm sure your polluticiians will save you.

In this country of Australia the Prime Minister and any person who nominates themselves for public office have to be a single passport holder of an Australian passport and be and Australian Citizen. In 1901 those who put the Commonwealth of Australia together dictated that this was an important piece of legislation. The reasons for this were to stop foreign influence ever being an issue in governing the country.
Lately there has been the issue with our current prime minister being a duel citizen of both Britain and Australia. This hit the headlines because he was born in Britain. Only seeking Aussie citizenship when his mother realized he could not apply for the Rhodes scholarship. Abbott held duel citizenship for a long time and to date he refuses to produce proof to the Australian people that he relinquished this in the proper time to be Prime Minister elect.

The American laws which govern who can run for office are completely different to Australian law on this same subject. In the USA, you can hold duel citizenship. I think this is a minefield that needs addressing. It has to be while ever Australia's saps who are in Government suck up the American Presidents bottoms like they are a VaX Vacuum Cleaner.
For me to look on at this situation unfolding is a scary prospect. People like Abbot either don't seem to see this or are paid to not look at this as a likely point of misdirection for Australia and her people.
I think that the USA should address it immediately and replace all those in office with USA only citizenship people who have that land as their mother.
The new emerging BRICS member countries are seemingly quite a force on the world stage now where the money is concerned with the tight knit member states of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa that make up the acronym BRICS.
It appears they may even take over as the marker kicking the US$ out of its prideful place. The pressure is on now because everyone knows the banks in the US are empty and are run behind closed doors in secret.
Rothschild, Morgan, Rockerfeller, and Chase are the classic family names of those that are still around today and these families are still the ones who have so far amassed a sickening wealth and it has gone past the point of being sickening. The Rothschild family is said to have 500 trillion worth of wealth. Shell, Exxon, British Petroleum, Halliburton to name a few corporations. From what is written it appears the wealth amassed is the mums and dads money from all over the planet.
These families can be researched and time lined so you can see the movements around the planet. It is widely reported these same families are responsible for boom and bust times with the economy, they buy governments and legal systems and supply
They have control the oil and gas markets. These influential families buy governments and the courts and judges in the legal arena. It is known that these families supply arms, and fund and provoke both sides of every war .
They own the mainstream media. Some say they even have the churches in there pockets. We can debate the facts about what they own and we know it is this and that here and there etc all over the world and the proof is all around you and accessible.
Halliburton is a filthy company that still to this day keeps Dick Cheney on a retainer. They are the supposed self appointed champions within the fracking industry which is like a cancer gripping the entire planet. Each drill put down is a hot shot into the mother.
