The Member for New England finally submits to the sacrifice.

The lack of a strong inner life has been the downfall of the Member for New England falling from grace and from the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Australia.

Barnaby Thomas Gerard Joyce who is the sitting member for New England has at last submitted and stepped down as Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the National Party of Australia. 

Immediately he did this the wolves gathered to the feast to stab it with their steely knives and put in their two bobs worth about how they should be selected as leader of the National Party.

Barnaby Joyce flapped on about how it was his personal business and that we should not pass judgement.  Perhaps he is right about that tiny part.  However this is not the reason why the MP is under scrutiny in my opinion. 

For me primarily it is about his corrupt practices that Joyce is yet to admit to.  His purchase of two properties in the Central west of New South Wales at Gwabegar.  These properties are where the inland rail is going to be. 

Another large issue is the misuse of parliamentary funds, flying around in an RAAF jet from Football home to Armidale.

The biggest of them all is the Sexual Harrassment allegations from Western Australia.

Barnaby Joyce ... Big sigh!

 On 11 February 2016, Joyce was elected unopposed as Leader of the National Party, with Fiona Nash as his deputy, and was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister of Australia on February 18, 2016.

He won his seat in the New England over the independent Tony Windsor and since then has made gaff after gaff and had to recover himself time and time again.

Jesuit trained no doubts as he has a strange way of looking at the world.  It is clearly an antiquated Roman Catholic view.   After all he thinks Gay marriage will impede his daughters having a normal marriage.  Some how I just don't get his logic here.  Perhaps he fears there are more gay men than he previous expected and worries there wont be enough straight men for his straight daughters.

Ex Prime Minister Kevin Rudd didn't get his position with the United Nations because Barnaby hadn't buried a previous hatchet adequately.  Presently, questions are being asked did Barnaby lie to the Australian people about this.

Barnaby forgets he is just the Deputy Prime Minister and starts making major decision announcements for clearing it with the Prime Minister.  Barnaby wants to relocate and entire government department to his own electorate in New England in the city of Armidale.

The fall out from this could get interesting.  Barnaby Joyce as Deputy Prime Minister isn't interesting at all but his major screw ups will be.

It Snowed in Deepwater and this Cold is Snapping Everyone!

Starting last weekend the temperatures dropped dramatically as an Arctic Vortex settled over most of New South Wales.   Of course its cold, it is Winter but these temperature drops were drastic.

Last night when we went to bed there was a definite chill in the air and I awoke to a complete white blanket of snow over everything.  It was still snowing when I went out to photograph this momentous event.  The locals say it hasn't snowed here for 60years.  My neighbour was out but really we were the only ones up seeing this auspiciousness take place.

The snow was heavy in those places that got snow last week and the highways were closed again because of so much snow on the roads.

 It started snowing in Queensland out near Toowoomba and this was forecast for last week and they were shivering. This time it really snowed.  It was forecast to snow in Stanthorpe last week  and that did lots for the local tourism but there was no snow in town but today it was over everything and it was a deep blanket.  There was also a lot of good snow at Eukey nearby to Stanthorpe and near Tenterfield at Mt Mt McKenzie.  These places are just over the border from Stanthorpe in Southern Queensland.

It snowed at Bolivia Hill where Brice and I went snow chasing but it wasn't white on the ground but it was floating in the air and I tried desperately to photograph this.  This time I got to photograph the snow on my boot with ease.  The flakes were so big.

We are up very high above sea level here, 974m above sea level and it snowed all over.  It was literally freezing temperatures all over.  The coastal areas are feeling the drops in temperatures as well.

The Seat of New England

So now I have Barnaby Joyce as the bloke who is supposed to watch your back and your spot on this great land. Of course I am being a bit sarcastic here because I trust none of them and least of all the Nationals of which Barnaby is and further to that a Jesuit trained old boy from Lane Cove.

The seat of New England includes the local government areas of Liverpool Plains, Gunnedah, Tamworth Regional, Walcha, Uralla, Armidale Dumaresq, Guyra, Glen Innes Severn, Inverell and Tenterfield Shire Councils.

The major hubs include Armidale, Barraba, Bundarra, Deepwater, Glen Innes, Gunnedah, Guyra, Inverell, Manilla, Nundle, Quirindi, Tamworth, Tenterfield, Uralla, Yetman, Walcha, Werris Creek and parts of Delungra and Urbenville.

Barnaby Joyce is a Jesuit trained old boy from St Ignatius at Lane Cove Sydney and so he is another one of the Jesuits that are not looking after what they say they are and at the same time they are swooning the general public with absolute hogwash.  He has not got the land or its future as his first love anymore, that ceased when he went to Sydney to the special school.

Barnaby was born to a vet who come from New Zealand to Australia to study Vet Science and he grew up on a farm outside of Tamworth at Woolbrook.

 I am always looking forward to the day that I see snow and can photograph this event.  One of these days soon I will get to see this as the weather gets more radical.  Until then all I can do is write about it in hope of the time that I do see it.
