How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -  I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!  -   and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death

Elizabeth Barrett Browning.  1806 - 1861

The year ten classes at Bellingen High School celebrated their formal on the 11.11.11.  What a great date.  I was kept away and I wasn't able to get photographs with my beautiful daughter in order to memorialize this event for us all.

I all wasn't asked to join her at the Belling High School Clapper's (Awards)  either and I wanted to be apart of this so badly as well. I punish myself because I find it difficult to not feel that I just wasn't good enough. I missed out on seeing her do all of this enormous awesomeness.  I was so proud of her too.

My heart is just breaking even more each day and I don't think I can stomach much more pain in my earthly body.

The Human Race has one very effective weapon, Laughter. - Mark Twain

Today is kind of special.  It is Rememberance day or Armistice day as it is also called.  This year if you had the last 2 digits of your birth year to your age it will in effect come to 111.  For me though I have to find humour in as much as possible to make me laugh!  Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is good for you.  Laughter reduces stress and makes us healthy.  Today I will laugh at all these number ones.  That is what they are, "Ones".  Just ones. Its like a football academy all those sets of sticks in one place.

What ever you do today then, make sure you include a good old fashioned belly laugh... Just remember to laugh if you can.  Think of happy things and happy times and think of the things that may make you happy in your future.  Strive for that thing that brings you happiness.  "Our steps are ordered, but our state of mind isn't." Mary Peters 2011.

Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time - Steven Wright

Treading the boards out to the beach is something we do on a regular basis living where we do.  Its is great.  The walk was somewhat a trek on the last part  since 1999 but earlier this year  council funded a building project that went all the way to the beach building a footbridge that even a disabled person could use and  so now it is nothing short of an easy walk for us.  It does take time to get there and back though.  I love it out there so far away from everyone.  We often go and sit and just light a fire and sit around it and tell each other stories.

My heart was taken by you, broken by you and now is in pieces because of you.

On this day twenty nine years ago

After the wedding when we arrived home to Cooks Hill with all of our belongings from the beach and I laid down and worse luck for me I went to sleep and could not be roused.  I missed our Wedding dinner because I was asleep, so sunburned from the days celebrations in the burning sunshine.  I was in serious trouble from my then new husband and there wasn't much I could do about it.

What does your new husband do when your dying on the bed of sunstroke... go out to dinner by himself and make you wear the consequences for the rest of the entirety of the relationship.

This image shows the footbridge that is near my home.  It is an easy, but long walk out to the beach.  I love the beach so much and this is why I chose to get married  on the beach so many years ago in 1982 at Susan Gilmore Beach in Newcastle.   Les Burnell and Kelvin Connell were our witnesses and we were married at 11.00 AM.   We spent all day till dark at the beach.  No wonder I was exhausted.

I was equally exhausted from the marriage itself some 26 years later and called it quits and got a divorce after a long and bitter battle over selling our family home.  I didn't want to sell it until our daughter Montana left high school and was safely organized into University or the like.  This was not to be the case and after being treated so poorly for my troubles I decided when I awoke that day that Divorce was definitely on the agenda  and I filed for divorce and was granted a decree nisi  a month later.
