Survival Day 2016

IMG 2242 Survival Day 2016

In Deepwater 2016 we stand along side of the rest of the nation who are standing in protest against the crowns theft of a country and the subsequent genocide of people all over this land by the colonizers.

It is also a day to pay respect  and celebrate the Survival of these very same people.  The Indigenous cultures of Australia are the oldest living cultures in the world. One of the reasons they have survived for so long is their ability to adapt to change.

Its best to do something positive to honor this and so I created.... I feel a connection doing this.

Where we are here in Deepwater is the established territory of the Ngarabal people, who had occupied and carefully cultivated the country for thousands of years. The Ngarabal name for Deepwater is Talgambuun, meaning dry country with many dead trees.

I pay respects to the Ngarabal elders past and present and say thank you to them for the opportunity to stand today on their land as a Wonnarua Woman with honor.

(Great great grandfather - John Shaw from the Hunter River area - Wonnarua).  I was born on Bundjalung lands at Warwick and I have lived on Gumbaynggirr land for a very long time until recently so I pay my respects to all of the elders in all of those places and say thank you to the land for sustaining me.

Firstly we hung out our very colourful  flag.  Hanging the flag openly out the front is actually a common occurrence because I am keen to open dialogue with anyone who wants to talk to me about this and the flag is a great talking point for inquisitive people.

I wrote in chalk across our drive way ... "No Pride in Genocide".  and on the footpath Survival Day 2016 to mark the occasion as a day of survival of the first peoples of this land and the desire to see justice for what has occurred here.

I sat outside and made a beautiful bag from plastic bags I had folded and cut to recycle into something very useful instead of it being in an animals stomach and thought all day about the old girls sitting around making things to help them on their daily ritual of taking care of family on country.  Weaving being a skill these ladies all knew well and thrived on teaching their young the skill to pass this on.  So I remembered their spirit while sitting all day and completing the dilly bag.

At all the capital cities around Australia and at various regional areas ceremony was held to mark today as a day of mourning for the Aboriginal Culture nationwide.  Each year more and more people wake up to the fact that Australia Day Celebrations are a smash in the face to the indigenous.

There is a referendum planned to have the Recognize issue voted on.  Its got to be either thrown out or it has to include the words TREATISE along side of RECOGNIZE  otherwise it is clearly another white man scam to further disenfranchise aboriginal people from their culture.

Five Planets line up to begin 2016

Nambucca Heads nsw 2448

From today onward over the next month of  January through to the 20th February 2016, all five visible planets will sit in a line from the horizon to the moon.  The last time this occurred was back in 2005.
"There will be another chance to view the planets lined up in August, but then not again until October 2018".

Here is what to look out for when you look up!

From Wednesday 20th January, start looking up because the window of opportunity moves fast and so you will have a 5.30am -5.40am AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) window to get a view of the alignment.  Mercury is closest to the sun and therefore it will be difficult to see this planet unless you have a really good view of the horizon just before dawn.

Glen Frey of the Eagles passes ... its a bit of a shock.

Glenn Frey has passed away at 67 just 8 days after David Bowie.  It is a bit of a shock to me because I am still reeling that our Bowie has left the planet so early as well.

Glenn Lewis Frey was an American singer, songwriter, producer and actor, best known as a founding member of rock band the Eagles. During the 1970s, Frey played guitar with the band, as well as piano and keyboards. Wikipedia

He Died:
January 18, 2016,  at New York City, New York, United States

I have a great love for all of the Eagles music and I especially love the 1976 epic Hotel California  album It gave me the smell of moving to the coast and move to the coast is what I did.   Thanks for that.

I pay tribute to this great musician who has played a huge role in the music of my life and for that I say thank you.  Good bye Glen .. you and David hurry back now.

Sorrow ... David Bowie passed away today.

Ziggy played his last guitar in this life on this day 10th of January 2016.   David Bowie was one of the most extraordinary artists of our modern era.  His memory will live on because he was legendary in all that he did.

David Bowie - Aladdin Sane

I grew up listening to David Bowie and remember how excited I was when I purchased Alladin Sane on vinyl all of those years ago.

DAVID BOWIE

The world is in mourning at the loss of such a loved person who was not old when he passed away from Cancer, he was only 69 years old.  Bowie had so much more to give but he obviously knew and had succumbed to the journey of death.

His final album "Blackstar"  is the twenty-fifth and final studio album by English musician David Bowie. It was released worldwide through Bowie's ISO Records label on 8 January 2016, Bowie's 69th birthday and two days ago just before his death.

Lots are saying there is an occulted message in this album.  Some are saying there is a message to the world from him about what the illuminati are up to.  Others say it heralds the coming of Nirbiru.   What ever people think it won't be overshadowed by the the incredulous final good bye from David Bowie - like he was saying good bye to all of us.    Go swiftly David .... your soul is needed back here fast.  You have shown how much you have learned and adapted to the challenges your life presented and how you changed this around and began to understand the Alchemy of change and how that is good for the soul.

I would like to think he was taken early because he already knew and his soul is need back here on Earth to help us usher in the new time we are going to be living through here on our tiny planet when everything changes very very quickly.  So go swiftly you awesome person - you have done well.

Mobile drug Test NSW

A faulty product be pushed onto the unsuspecting public.  It reminds me of the questionnaire the schools used for the safe children check.  On the same line in the same sentence you were to answer yes or no to whether you had had sex offense or drug charges.  With such ambiguity, what is one answering yes or no to exactly, and these mobile drug tests are the same.  They are throwing up false positives and the government continues to peddle this.  Because of that fact alone - its not about safety of the public on public roads, its about revenue raising how ever which way they can and this will back fire on the Government in the end and cost taxpayers.

PROBLEMS ARE OPPORTUNITIES MASQUERADING!
Happy wishes for 2016

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

Neil Gaiman
