Forest .... The word!

So many words in our English language are pulled from a myriad of other languages / cultures.  English presents itself as a complete stew of words and it is often very misleading.

The word Forest stems from the french Language as do so many other English words we use daily.  Edward Rutherfurd explains this true meaning of the word for us.

"Forest: a french term. It did not mean woodland, although huge woods lay within it's borders, but rather, an area set apart - a reservation - for the king's hunting."

RED is an awesome color for blondes to wear in my opinion.  I always liked it.  I have many favorite things in red.  I always wanted a RED pair of converse' shoes.  I have second hand black ones.  One day maybe I will get some red ones if I live long enough for the black ones to wear out.  Until such time I must be vigilent with my funds as at the moment I am in the process of making many changes.  Sid's Research has RED NOSE DAY each year in June to raise funds.

REDS were once the fear communists and the enemy.  Today its all about terrorism.  We saw the communism thing taken way too far with various comedy shows like Maxwell Smart showing us all the absolute truism of government bungling at its finest.  Older people cannot be fooled this time around as we have seen it all before.  The scare mongering techniques used to influence the masses. 

In Bellingen there have been many meetings and stickers have been made saying " Sedition is not free Speech" and I have one of these stickers on my laptop.  They were by a group of people who do seek to be proactive against such laws.  The website below is an informative take on those times for more information.

SEPT - French word for the cardinal numeral seven (7)

SEDITION - noun / the incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government .  The incitement of discontent or rebellion against a government or any action especially in speech or writing , promoting such discontent or rebellion. Archaic.. rebellious disorder

The future retiring age in Australia will rise to 67 years.  There are some who are not completely suited to this model of sheep herding by the government.  It may get worse yet before it gets better.
Real countries don't put their elderly in holding paddocks (nursing homes)  to die like we do.  It is a sad reflection of our society and its present values regarding the elders.

For anything to grow here it takes absolute reckless courage and a certain flamboyancy to go with it.  It gets very hot in that spot in summer.
