Ninshubur

UNDERSTANDING THE SYMBOLISM, 'my interpretation by Steward Bryant  (Facebook)
Ninshubur the female Deity, that was changed to a Male Deity

No photo description available.

It is believed that the later Hermes of the Greeks is based in part on Ninshubur, the Queen of the East who served as a messenger to the gods.

In later Akkadian myths, Ninshubur’s gender changes to “male”, which is the main reason why clay figurines of Ninshubur as a “god” has been found beneath the doors of temples.

These figurines show him bearing a staff or wand in his right hand.

Inanna was associated with the planet Venus. Ninshubur, the second-in-command of the goddess Inanna, was said to be associated with Mercury, as Venus and Mercury appear together in the sky.

The foot on the lion indicates she is ‘ANAT’
(aka: Semirames, Anahiti, Cybel, Diana, Ashtoreth, Anatta, Ester- Ishtar [I<AiTHAIR = Woman < Revered?]

She is believed to have been a mythic Indo-European warrior God-Empress (Dian) based in west central Asia in the late 3rd mil BC who helped conquer the world.

Her father- in- law was Belochus, her husband was Belochus Ninus (Bel, Baal, Ninus), and she was the MARI (queen mother) of her son and successor Dionysus (Dion-Ysus “ = God Emperor- Ysus) identified by some with Mithra.

She was venerated as a god by the 1st mil BC, as far as Egypt, Anatolia, and Mesopotamian and is credited for conquering Bactria, establishing Babylon and Nineveh. But her invasion of India failed, being wounded in the attempt to cover her army’s retreat

The three horns in her hat indicate she was an Empress (Dian), The arrows in her quill shows she is Diana the huntress.

The wings show she is deified after her death (2006bc?), as her god now residing in heaven.
The expose leg indicates she is sensual and famed for her exceptional beauty (“Si mir a maise” = ‘she famed of beauty’?).

After about 600bc when the religious reformations began which replaced the nurturing Mother God, with the strict Father God whose laws must be obeyed... She became ‘Damnatio Memoriae’ meaning "condemnation of memory" (stricken from history), a process involving destruction of monuments to her, destruction of her name on monuments, and removals of her and her deeds in any references to her in books.

The Roman church Damned Mithra veneration as a heresy, a false Jesus.

Today we may know her as the Whore of Babylon, and Gorgon.

HAMMURABI and his code or his Law!

Image:By UnknownMarie-Lan Nguyen (Own work)

Hammurabi ruled for nearly 42 years, c. 1792 to 1750 BC according to the Middle chronology. In the preface to the law, he states, "Anu and Bel called by name me, Hammurabi, the exalted prince, who feared Marduk, the patron god of Babylon (The Human Record, Andrea & Overfield 2005), to bring about the rule in the land."On the stone slab there are 44 columns and 28 paragraphs that contained 282 laws.

It is one of the oldest deciphered writings of significant length in the world. The sixth Babylonian king, Hammurabi, enacted the code, and partial copies exist on a human-sized stone stele and various clay tablets.

Looking at the numbers surrounding this, Hammurabi lived for 42 years - that is a significant number.  The Number 42 is the highest number in the Kabbalah.  Ein Sof -  The Forty-Two-Lettered Name contains four combined names which are spelled in Hebrew letters (spelled in letters = 42 letters), which is the name of Azilut (or "Atziluth" "Emanation").

While there are obvious links between the Forty-Two Lettered Name of the Babylonian Talmud and the Kabbalah's Forty-Two Lettered Name, they are probably not identical because of the Kabbalah's emphasis on numbers. The Kabbalah also contains a Forty-Five Lettered Name and a Seventy-Two Lettered Name.

There were 42 Egyptian assessors of the Dead and some say 42 books  The stone has 44 columns which equates to 8 and 28 paragraphs 2 being the High Priestess where she holds the Torah (law).

And 8 Strength and then there is 282 laws - The twos could be seen as a symbol of a heart if they are turned around and joined together / this is an ancient symbol,  with and 8 representing eternity  and strength which can only stem from the heart /  strength card in the Tarot.

There are two translations of the Code of Hammurabi and they can be located at this website : Avalon Law at Yale University.

I am sure that today's laws are just a shadow of fairness, the more laws the more corruption there is to avoid them.  It would make sense to have fewer laws, that is how I see it.  It would cost far less to administrate if there was less crime.  But we know this is not the role of government which has been hijacked by big business for its on ends and fairness doesn't equate any longer in law or justice.

Enuma Elish ~ The Babylonian Epic of Creation ~

This story, is one of the oldest, if not the oldest in the world, concerns the birth of the gods and the creation of the universe and human beings. In the beginning there was only undifferentiated water swirling in chaos. Out of this swirl, the waters divided into sweet, fresh water, known as the god Apsu, and salty bitter water, the goddess Tiamat. Once differentiated, the union of these two entities gave birth to the younger gods.
These young gods, however, were extremely loud, troubling the sleep of Apsu at night and distracting him from his work by day. Upon the advice of his Vizier, Mummu, Apsu decides to kill the younger gods. Tiamat, hearing of their plan, warns her eldest son, Enki (sometimes Ea) and he puts Apsu to sleep and kills him. From Apsu's remains, Enki creates his home. Tiamat, once the supporter of the younger gods, now is enraged that they have killed her mate. She consults with the god, Quingu, who advises her to make war on the younger gods. Tiamat rewards Quingu with the Tablets of Destiny, which legitimize the rule of a god and control the fates, and he wears them proudly as a breastplate. With Quingu as her champion, Tiamat summons the forces of chaos and creates eleven horrible monsters to destroy her children.

Ea, Enki, and the younger gods fight against Tiamat futilely until, from among them, emerges the champion Marduk who swears he will defeat Tiamat. Marduk defeats Quingu and kills Tiamat by shooting her with an arrow which splits her in two; from her eyes flow the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Out of Tiamat's corpse, Marduk creates the heavens and the earth, he appoints gods to various duties and binds Tiamat's eleven creatures to his feet as trophies (to much adulation from the other gods) before setting their images in his new home. He also takes the Tablets of Destiny from Quingu, thus legitimizing his reign.

After the gods have finished praising him for his great victory and the art of his creation, Marduk consults with the god Ea (the god of wisdom) and decides to create human beings from the remains of whichever of the gods instigated Tiamat to war. Quingu is charged as guilty and killed and, from his blood, Ea creates Lullu, the first man, to be a helper to the gods in their eternal task of maintaining order and keeping chaos at bay. As the poem phrases it, "Ea created mankind/On whom he imposed the service of the gods, and set the gods free." Following this, Marduk "arranged the organization of the netherworld" and distributed the gods to their appointed stations. The poem ends in Tablet VII with long praise of Marduk for his accomplishments.

The Enuma Elish was read and recited widely throughout Mesopotamia but was especially important at the New Year Festival in Babylon. During this festival the statue of Marduk would be taken from the temple and, amidst the revelers, be paraded through the streets of the city, out the gates, to `vacation' in a small house built for this purpose. The Enuma Elish, especially, it is thought, the praise from Tablet VII, would be sung or chanted during this procession.
