Pop Up Actions in Urunga on the Pacific Highway.

I can stand alone by  myself on the Bridge in Urunga NSW.  The Pacific Highway is still going through the centre of town and so this has always been a favorite place of mine to go and stand with signs.   I am so damaged by the government and their useless decisions around people that I have to do this so I stay sane.  I am suffering so bad by all of this as it is like no one cares.  Many are asleep

On the Bridge - Farms not Mines
The horns that were blown in support of this action were overwhelming and this gave me heart and each one that blew let me know I was not alone with how I was feeling,  this is not another one of my scatty ideas.   Government damage is what got me where I am so I have to do what helps where I can to survive this in tact in my psyche.

I made a song up using  some of the catchy  melody of 'What's Up' - 4 Non Blondes.

I took my sign out of my car
I said
you've gone too far
I said hey
WHATS GOING ON

I took my sign up on the Bridge
I said
Ive had enough of this
I said hey
Whats going on

I said HEY yay yay yay
YAY YAY YAY
I said HEY whats going on.

I held my sign above my head
coz my body
was full of Dread
and I said
Hey whats going on?

Farms not mines
is what it says
Coz your making this country
A big mess
I said Hey
Whats going ON?

I said Hey Hey Etc etc etc and on it goes!

Here are the lyrics of What's Up

Twenty-five years I'm alive here still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination

I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means

And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar.

And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?

And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah, HEY yeah yea
I said hey, what's going on?

And I say: HEY! yeah yeaaah, HEY yeah yea
I said hey, what's going on?

ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh
ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh

and I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time, in this institution

And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray all sanctity
For a revolution.

And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar

And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?

And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?

And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?

And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?

And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?

ooh, ooh ooooooooooooooooh ooooooooooooooooh

Twenty-five years I'm alive here still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
for a destination

Like the legend it is from beginning to end.

You can never go too far or give up.  Some days are just so beautiful down by the waters edge in Urunga.

Meanwhile so much is going on the is just madness in the world.  What is the reasoning behind all of the madness of the world?  The energy is returning, feel it reeling towards the positive.  Its hard to see but it is a foregone conclusion the government and the mining and energy companies are going to meet with far more opposition than clearly they are banking on.

This issue of Csg Mining is a not negotiable issue.  Some keep crowing about how it can co-exist and in a very swift voice back I say NO.  No it clearly cannot co-exist anywhere as it is poison to the water and the water is important everywhere.

Friday again ..Melonpop Drive goes bush!

Looking back over the week...   A little story about "Trust"...

A little girl and her mother were crossing a bridge.
The mother was kind of scared so she asked her little daughter:
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."
The little girl said:
"No, Mum. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled Mum.

"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.

"If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter
what happens, you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind,
but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you
love rather than expecting them to hold yours...

SAM 7997 Raleigh Reflections

What a strange old week this week has been.   Lots of weird stuff flying around in the ether.  Today is my last show here at 2bbb  until I return from Queensland from the protest site.  I shed a tear because I will miss doing this.   I have three days to go, then off to help Vee get organised and off we go!  I am going to tag along to help and support where possible.  Organizing a doof with Vee is going to be a huge experience I will love!  Meeting all the wonderful people who care like me will be great.  Lots of photos and interviews.

I feel sad about leaving and it isn't easy for me to go and perhaps this will be very good for me actually.  I will be amongst like minded people.  The most difficult part will be to trust that it will all still be here when I get back.  I am leaving my man and my dog and my cat to fight for our Earth so My Garden will be fine.  I hope.
