A VERY CHEAP HOUSE!!

The following blog post was taken from Good Home Designs because it is by far the most economical awesome house I have seen to date. This house is totally doable by most people with a bit of common sense. Even a bad job would still be awesome using these age old techniques that these awesome people used.

Earthbag-HouseLooking for a very stable design which does not only come cheap from the start but also makes you save money in the long run.

Due to its shape and materials used, the earthbag house has less area than your normal home, so it’s cheaper to keep it supplied with energy. Don’t be scared if you never built circular structures before, because the example shown here used a technique called the compass arm which you can easily learn.

Recycled or salvaged materials were used wherever it was possible, like in the door or on the floor.

The tutorial has photos showcasing almost each step of the building process so if you decide to replicate the project, use it to help and guide you along the way. At the end you will have the comfort of 450 ft² with less than $5,000 spent overall.

Firewood used to hold the barbed wire in place. The row of gravel bags going in. When tamped, they are about 2 inches thick.

A New Chapter begins on the New England Highlands!

22nd day of the month and we unpack the Truck.... Number 22 is a number of power and accomplishment.

Raleigh Removals - Dean and Jeff
I was excited this unpacking day fell on April 22.   This is because those two's do show up to me often.  The number 22 is a significant number which and is 2 appearing twice and this strengthens the message it is carrying.  The # 2 relates to our Divinity Path and our souls journey of learning.   Having this number significant shows the self to keep doing the great work.  The clear message here is to keep working consistently on my divine purpose which is the infinite consciousness (God) experiencing itself through creation.

Most everything was packed into the substantial shed that we now have.  It comes complete with a cement floor and lining and so our chatels were taken in there straight from the truck.  The old black hand painted fridge and my sadly rusting washing machine did however come in today while the boys were here to help as both are quite heavy and awkward to cart around alone.

We have a lot of cleaning to finish off to be able to live alright, albeit a temporary clean for now.  So today while Brice helped the boys unpack the truck, I concentrated on cleaning the bathroom from top to bottom.

After all of the hard work we carried out today we needed a great shower and a clean good bed so I was diligent and washed the walls in our bedroom, mopped the uncovered wooden floors and then  we put up our bed and made it with all the doonas we owned.

I felt good because I had cleaned the bathroom and toilet to a spick fashion. The kitchen too was given a fair good clean bench wise.  Tomorrow we will clean all of the cupboards.  Today was simply a huge day from start to finish too and today also started at about 4:30am.

When the removal boys arrived at our house this morning they were able to convey to us what had happened with the major weather event south of us where we are here at our beloved Dungog.

Dungog floods
Four people lost their lives in an absolute freak storm for that area.  It kind of shook Jeff Guest the removals guy up because only yesterday I was telling him the reason why we were leaving the coast to get to higher ground.

I told him it was vitally important to me to get to a place where I could feel safer.    I  have been predicting strange things weather wise for some years now numbering about three years.  In my opinion being on the edge of the Pacific Ocean on a cliff which was really a midden  was not where I wanted to weather this weather event I think is on route.  My past recurring dreams of water hitting Dorrigo Mountain was a large contributing factor along with the fact I am a poor swimmer.

Its Tidy Tuesday and it's the gigantic "Moving Day"!

Biggest shout out to Jeff and Dean from Raleigh Removals at Raleigh NSW... these guys were awesome.  So awesome in fact, they packed my handbag in the front of the truck.  Lunch time came and I looked for my bag and realized it must have been packed so we unpacked the truck to find it and there it was.

That was just one of those funny things that day that made arriving at our new house happen at night time in the freezing cold in the dark.  It was a lot of work that day, a huge drive at the end of the day and a cold arrival but the spirits were red hot in all of us.

Excitement was the order of the entire day.  Phoenix and Sooty were transported safely to their new home.   Sooty went with Aunty Kay in her vehicle and Phoenix travelled with us in our vehicle. Once at Guyra we stopped to check on how things were going with Sooty.  Things were pretty difficult and so we inherited Sooty our black female cat into our car as well.  She who incidentally would not move from Aunty Kay's lap the entire previous part of the trip from Urunga.

The cleaning of the house was all done as awesome as we could.  We had done a lot of preparation while waiting to leave that made that part easy.  Our neighbors on both sides were simply amazing with their help and their well wishes.

Ronny mowed our lawn for us as it rained right up to our leaving which made it impossible to remedy ourselves and so that was a blessing indeed.  My friends all pitched in to help on last days.  Suzie taking my largest crows nest that was simply huge and Ian taking all of the others home to Kathy made that easier for us.  Easier for me to part with them to friends too.

So we arrived at our new home and I slept in the tent again in the lounge room and Aunty Kay on the camp stretcher and Brice in the chair.  It is a wonder we didn't freeze right there and then (jokes).  We all arrived to our destination safely thank the mightiness of the stars above us.

Aunty Kay was an absolute legend from start to finish with keeping us all on task and continuity of work for the entire day from 5am this morning.  I was touched to see Gail and Shelby and for Shelby to see the truck filling up so she knew I had moved house and not run away from her.  Gail gave me a lovely present with the cutest little notebook with tiny pen...  I loved this and I was sad to say farewell to our many years of fun together in Urunga.  Our Christmas's every year together since we moved down there from Bellingen.  Playground fun with Shelby and her first swim at the beach are the things that will tug most at my heart strings.

My own children are grown up now.  My youngest Montana-Star visited with her partner Anaan last evening for a few hours and I can barely put down here how much I will miss being only ten minutes away from them.  Life goes on and they will probably head out into the great wide world themselves at some stage like most of the young guys do,  like we did also.

So ended this big huge gigantic day for Brice and myself as we left our home for the last few decades.  This is a huge change and we both needed this for us to move on from the sadness of the past and the loss of so much.

Forever Young . . . . The Third House

Just like the lyrics to the Youth Group song Forever Young read . .  I want to stay forever young.  I included the song and video so you could reminisce the song for two reasons, one I like it and two I know the Drummer by default.

The Third House is the house of learning.  This is where we make our mind up about the world.  If we continually stay in a state of learning then our mind is more potent this way.  At any time that we stagnate from learning then this is the signal to the end of us as well.  This type of stagnation is poison to the body via the mind.

This house deals with communication and your in close environment in your family with your siblings or with your work colleages and school friends and education at all levels and with relationships with early work life life and apprenticeships.  This house also describes your short trips and your means of transport and communication in the world.  It deals with all things practical.

Some say the 9th House rules the Higher mind and the 3rd House rules the lower but this is just the polarity of the situation as both are identical but are opposite.
"If you feel others don't understand you, look to the third house to see how well you make yourself understood.”  ” Donna Cunningham

Old Equipment at 2bbb but and awesome communications tool in its day!

Carolyn Myss writes that the 3rd house “reveals how you direct your energy into the world.” She also says that the challenge of the 3rd house is to become conscious of your motivations, as one's every thought, word, action, and deed invoke the laws of magnetic attraction.

What you put out in the 3rd is what you'll receive. It is clear that features of this house are certainly action and spontaneous movement. Modern astrologers may get a shock to learn that in traditional astrology, action-oriented, desire-inspired, power-wielding Mars, not Mercury, is assigned to rule over  the 3rd House.  I will be looking into this more down the track.

1968 Grade four stanthorpe State Primary School
Grade Four and being nine and I am above the boy with the Stanthorpe 1968 sign.
You can see that this would cause some conjecture.  A definitive answer to exactly which planet rules this house and so  many will say Mercury rules the house of Communication and others will say its is firey Mars also that rules here.

If its not happening in your life for what ever reason take a look at what is going on in your third house of communication and see that enlightens you any.

Can you imagine when this race is run,
Turn our golden faces into the sun,
Praising our leaders getting in tune,
The music's played by the mad man

Forever young, I wanna be forever young,
Do you really wanna live forever?
Forever forever
Forever young, I wanna be forever young,
Do you really wanna live forever?
Forever forever

Some are like water some are like the heat,
Some are the melodies some are the beat,
Sooner or later they'll all be gone,
Why don't they stay young?
It's hard to get old without a cause,
I don't want to perish like a fading voice,
Youth is like diamonds in the sun,
And diamonds are forever,
So many adventures couldn't happened today,
So many songs that we forgot to play,
So many dreams swinging out in the blue,
We let them come true
Excerpt from Forever Young Lyrics
I have been entering my own as we go along and it seems I have MARS in my third house:

Mars in House III

With Mars in the 3rd house, relationships constitute a sort of confrontation and a dual experience. You try to turn communication into a tool for the development of your capacities to fight and to take action. Therefore, it is most likely that your reactions are very fierce when you deal with a new person or a new idea. You love, you hate, and you cross swords with reality. Your relationships with old acquaintances and new encounters are never devoid of ardour. You experience the world as a marvellous challenge.

Uranus in House III

Uranus is in the 3rd House. You are endowed with an acute sense of innovation and a mind avid for discoveries. Assimilation of knowledge constitutes a challenge for your thirst for renewal. You are open to modern ideas, and you do not hesitate to put all your energy at the service of a personal experience or an uncommon relationship. Sometimes, the way you communicate has some sort of eccentricity touch, which disconcerts the members of your entourage, amuses them, or win them over.

Pluto in House III

With Pluto in the 3rd House, your mode of assimilation is pretty complex. Whether you encounter a person or you discover a new idea, you are primarily attracted to what is concealed and what is left unsaid. You are interested in uncovering the other side of the coin, and you understand the hidden machinery as well as what is secretly at stake in a relationship. Communication brings into play a whole set of underlying information. You are never entirely fooled, and you are fully aware of the subtle rules governing your exchanges.

Wealth is more than just money ~ into the Second House

Learning about the houses, Today I am going to look at the second house. It's good to find out where your planets are for so you can understand it from a personal level.

The situation with wealth or money as some may see this as.. This is "The Second House"

IMG 4953 Urunga Antiques & Collectables

This house is feminine and ruling the neck and the colour here is green.  The second house has significance to the natives money and wealth and or worldly goods.  I took the time to find where mine was. At the bottom of this post is a link to find your own. Just follow the instructions.

The Part of Fortune is an ancient concept, used by Ptolemy and other astrologers before him. Firstly, it has nothing to do with fortune! In modern astrology, it is actually used to enhance a planet or angle when in close conjunction with it: it thus amplifies the meaning associated to the point affected by its presence. It is calculated in the following way:
Part of Fortune = AS + Moon - Sun (it is the Moons position when the Sun rises)
The classical Part of Fortune, of which the calculus method is unchanged whether in a diurnal or nocturnal chart, is usually distinguished from the diurnal/nocturnal Part of Fortune which is calculated by the formula AS + Sun - Moon for a nocturnal chart, and AS + Moon - Sun in a diurnal chart.
Fortune 10°26' Cancer, in House II

My personal interpretation is one of direction and calm.  I do resonate to this and I definitely do not like going on the water or being on boats.  I was born with a cowl over my head and this signifies that I will bring good luck to any ship that I do travel on.  I guess that is some solace.

 Part of Fortune

Interpretation of the 10° Cancer symbolic degree

"A wrecked ship on a beach under a heavy rain."

Ambitious, fanciful, and adventurous character. Undertakings are most likely to be doomed to failure. Decision-making must be based on past experiences so as not to avoid the same old mistakes. One may not have the skills required for an independent occupation. Unless the natal chart indicates otherwise, this degree is a portent of ruin and warns against anything related to the sea and water.

Life's Cover Page ~ The first House.

Who the bloody hell am I?

IMG 2512 Mash ya Airwaves
I'm not excited,  I am elated - A highlight of my life "RADIO"

Of course there are imperfections, and some of the qualities that I should be proud of are arguably in decline. Yet, there can be few, if any, greater skins to be born in.  This is me!

It is time I ascended from the darkness and pain that I was born into and to prevail, to rise above a Crocodile Dundee understanding of myself.
It is time I retold my unique self and reinvented it from a new polar perspective. To do this I need to look at all of the houses of the Zodiac separately and peruse them in detail.

To do this it means dealing with the 12 houses of the zodiac and displaying some of the influences that are on or around us at birth due to where the planets are in the sky at the time of our birth.

The FIRST HOUSE :  This is what I will call Life's Cover Page.

Not dissimilar to your assessments front sheet.   This sheet tells who you are, what level you are at and what subject you are covering.   Well our ascendent is similar because its the stage for "our life performance" that we drop into.  If you go to 'The Big Day Out', there are several stages to visit and see performances.   There is of course the main stage, and there are others.  If you dropped onto the main stage for instance your life will be different to that of someone who dropped onto a minor smaller stage of performance.  The planets and there whereabouts determine these fates for us.

The first house is classically known as  the ascendent and the planet rising there is your ascendent sign.  Whether well  or ill dignified it will effect the mind, bodily appearance and fate of the native through his whole existence.  It will dog you forever this one and there is no getting away from who you are.

This house is masculine and governs the head and face of man.  (ARIES = HEAD)

If the planet Mars be in this house there will always be some blemish or mole upon the face of the native; if a few out of the degrees have ascended the scar or blemish will without fail be on the upper part of the head.  If the middle part of the sign ascends the mark or scar will be in the middle part of the head, and if the latter part of the sign is ascending the mark will be in the chin area.

This house represents the head, the tongue and the memory and it governs in the colour of white. I would also say this has a positive electrical charge more apparent in this time.

Plants with thorns or prickles, because Mars is a soldier

Plants with a strong, spicy taste, because Mars is very physical

Medicinal plants that purify the blood, that help the head, or that are for sexual potency
Heating plants, which are often quickening as well.
Planetary and Elemental Correspondences
For myself, my my Ascendant is 25°39' Taurus.

"A fair-haired woman holds a child by the hand and picks flowers in the countryside. A benevolent man lends a hand to help them cross a ford."

Affectionate, peaceful and pleasant character. One is very good at smoothing out rough edges and at helping people settle their disputes in a peaceful way. One finds happiness in accomplishing ordinary duties, appreciates peace at home, and shows tolerance in all fields.
The First House or Ascendant represents one's behaviour in the eyes of others, and also one's health. It corresponds to the way the individual acts in the world. It is the image of the personality seen by others and the person's visible behaviour expressed outwardly. The 1st House is in analogy with Aries and thus Mars too, and then the Sun. It is an angular house, the most important one with the Midheaven, maybe even more so due to its link with the body and health.
Interpretation of the 25° Taurus symbolic degree

The next house is the Second house and I will learn and remember more about this tomorrow.

Moving fast in 2013

Trends are showing for 2013 and it already shows much more use of social media and access to buying online.  It must be the instant way of dealing with it that is the attraction.  I think that it is a convenient way to get those things that are difficult to get at the right price but I like shopping and looking at products.
If this keeps going there will be no need for shops in the future.  We will simply open an online catalogue and order right there.   Wow life really is changing fast now.

The Mighty Clarence
This is a picture of an old house in the Clarence Valley, constructed when times were not moving as fast as they are today as we sped past the signs of that past time that has now long gone like this house is.
