Is there an Up Side to being Blue or Sad?

What is an  Inextricable Dimension of Pain?  Are these two things connected?

Firstly, inextricable pain is a trauma from missing someone beyond words.  It leaves one with an inextricable circumstance that seems to have no end.  It seemingly goes on and on and on. It appears hopelessly tangled unable to be sorted or processed.

Sometimes seeing and hearing something remote from the original  situation is enough to trigger painful memories.  That is the weird part.  Sometimes its just a smell or a song or a word or seeing another person  that will do it.  Setting off a conveyor line of unwanted bodily responses to this stimuli. Leaving your head feeling like it's swimming.  Leaving you feeling kind of blue.

On a more positive note there is a theory that feeling blue produces certain qualities in people not otherwise found.  These qualities do have a positive because a correlation between depression and a particular type of problem solving were evident in studies done by a Swiss / American / German group.

Blue is a colour, the perception of which is evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 450–490 nanometers.  I mentioned this in an earlier blog on the colour Blue.  I have been exploring the idea of this vibration of energy in the human body may show up as blue in Kirlian Photography .  Perhaps a blue hue is evident here when one is crying or feels like crying.

While I still don't know why,  I still find that Blue is still overly representative of being down or depressed, because in the English language, blue often represents the human emotion of sadness, eg., "He was feeling blue". In German, on the other hand, to be "blue" (blau sein) is to be drunk. This could derive from the ancient use of urine (which is produced copiously by the human body after drinking alcohol) in dyeing cloth blue with woad or indigo.

So still I don't know why.  It may also be in relation to rain, which is usually regarded as a trigger of depressive emotions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue

I think that sadness does produce results of a kind synonymous only while that emotion is present.  I have produced some of my best creative work while being in this state of mind.  Therefore I find it safe to assume that like everything else in this life  it (sadness) needs to be evident for balance where human emotions are concerned.  If one is totally happy and lifted 100% then there is a further need to find more happiness.  Such is the nature of the beast. (humanity)

BLUE LIPS..... BLUE VEINS ... X

TEN and then again..

after blue comes pink...

Laundry Blue Bluing, Reckitt's blue bags, Dolly Blue

Before we had modern laundry detergents with optical brighteners, there was a mysterious little blue bag which was stirred around in the final rinse water on washday.

Bluing, laundry blue, or washing blue is a household product used to improve the appearance of textiles, especially white fabrics. Used during laundering, it adds a trace of blue dye (often synthetic ultramarine, sometimes Prussian blue) to the fabric.

White fabrics acquire a slight color cast after use (usually grey or yellow), because they can never be cleaned perfectly. Since blue and yellow are complementary colors in the subtractive color model of color perception, adding a trace of blue color to the slightly off-white color of these fabrics makes them appear whiter. Laundry detergents may also use fluorescing agents to similar effect.

 The little whale
Death in a cheap motel or a shack is a blues death. Stabbed by a jealous lover is a blues way to die. So is the electric chair, substance abuse or being denied treatment in an emergency room.

It is sad when it happens ♥ rip little whale.. your journey may have been short but you turned us and all of our thoughts beach ward as we waved you good bye and we all just stand here and its so hectic... coz all we can do is sigh!  GOODBYE
I was coming around the corner of the trailer and there behind it he was slumped down behind it with a syringe in his arm still, he was a strange color Blue.  He was almost dead!  ( Historia est Magistra Vitae)

"Mr Blue Sky" Electric Light Orchestra 1977

Mr. Blue you did it right,
But soon comes Mr. Night,
Creepin' over, now his
Hand is on your shoulder,
Never mind I'll remember you this way.

Down days are called Blue days.  On my blue days I always feel like running away.

What makes blue blue?

Light. The 'blue' object absorbs all the white light that collides with it's except the 'blue' light, which is reflected back up to the environment, including your eyes. Blue is also the best color if you are a blonde.... it makes your boobs bigger!

Blue is a colour, the perception of which is evoked by light having a spectrum dominated by energy with a wavelength of roughly 440–490 nm.

nm is a nanometre  is a unit of length in the metric system, equal to one billionth of a metre.

Blue moon..
Recent popular usage mistakenly defined a blue moon as the second full moon in a calendar month, stemming from an interpretation error made in 1946 that was discovered in 1999

On average, there will be 41 months that have two Full Moons in every century, so you could say that once in a Blue Moon actually means once every two-and-a-half years

A blue moon can refer to the third full moon in a season with four full moons.

BLUE LIPS..... BLUE VEINS ... V

Feeling blue?

Blue is the color you're said to be if you are, sad or down.  If something or someone turns up unexpected, it is said that they came out of the blue. The sky is sometimes called the wild blue yonder.  A blue movie is not really blue and if you have a fight with someone it can be termed that you had a "Blue"
If something happens very very rarely it is said to happen once in a Blue Moon.  A blue moon is the second full moon in one calendar month.

Blue is how I feel with a little black added.  ie Black and Blue.

BLUE LIPS BLUE VEINS - IV

I hate to turn up out of the BLUE uninvited..  Don't forget me.. sometimes a lesson is learned but sometimes it hurts instead .. I didn't know how bittersweet this would taste!  I will remember what you said... Adelle...

Staring at the color  BLUE  aids in mediation, bringing us a glimpse of the "pavement of sapphire, like the very sky for purity", which is a likeness of the Throne of God.

BLUE LIPS BLUE VEINS - III

The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense
Take what you have gathered from coincidence
The empty-handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets
This sky, too, is folding under you
And it’s all over now, Baby Blue

Mr BOB DYLAN

More people claim blue as their favorite color than any other color (over 50%). Blue cars have been among the top selling cars for decades. Blue denim is the most common clothing material in the western world. Men and boys in particular favor blue.

Blue was the color of choice for girls and was only changed in 1930 by the commercial trade in the USA as a sales ploy to induce a reason to buy.

BLUE LIPS ..BLUE VEINS... II

"If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things in nature have a message you understand, Rejoice, for your soul is alive.”
Eleanora Duse

Blue symbolism associates blue with freedom, strength and new beginnings. Blue skies are emblematic of optimism and better opportunities. Blue is the color of loyalty and faith. Blue is power. Blue is also the color of protection.

I think BLUE is whack as and I love blue.  I love Blue skies and and Blue oceans  and Blue in gen -er - ral ...  and I am one of these people described above who is moved by the sight of a new tiny bud forming or a sunset to die for and so I no that my soul is truly alive!
