Global Opposites - Antipodes

IMG 2324

In geography, the antipode  of any place on Earth is the point on the Earth's surface that is diametrically opposite to it. A pair of antipodes are two points that are antipodal  to each other and are connected by a straight line running through the centre of the Earth.

The word antipodes comes from the Greek: ἀντίποδες, plural of antipous (ἀντίπους), "with feet opposite (ours)", from anti- "opposed" and pous "foot". The Greek word is attested in Plato's dialogue Timaeus, already referring to a spherical Earth, explaining the relativity of the terms "above" and "below":
For if there were any solid body in equipoise at the center of the universe, there would be nothing to draw it to this extreme rather than to that, for they are all perfectly similar; and if a person were to go round the world in a circle, he would often, when standing at the antipodes of his former position, speak of the same point as above and below; for, as I was saying just now, to speak of the whole which is in the form of a globe as having one part above and another below is not like a sensible man.
~ Plato ~
Where on the planet is antipodal to Deepwater where my feet stand.  Well you can go to this link and find out what the antipodes are. http://www.antipodesmap.com/.

Where is antipodal to Deepwater NSW is off the west coast of the Western Sahara desert in the Atlantic Ocean.

What made me interested in these points on the earth was the understanding that they appear to be places of great significance from ancient times exactly on these points.

The Great Pyramid is aligned with Machupicchu, the Nazca lines and Easter Island along a straight line around the center of the Earth, within a margin of error of less than one tenth of one degree of latitude. Other sites of ancient construction that are also within one tenth of one degree of this line include:
Perseopolis, the capital city of ancient Persia; Mohenjo Daro, the ancient capital city of the Indus Valley; and the lost city of Petra. The Ancient Sumarian city of Ur and the temples at Angkor Wat are within one degree of latitude of this line.

Demonic Angels

by Tara Kay & Chelsey

Demonic Angels

These graveled palms are bleeding the truth as
My knees still brush the pavements...
for I have fallen too many times to care.

And like you...labored scars are birthed upon my skin
as frayed bandages cradle their existence
while I attempt to hide what I cannot feel...

How crazy is that?
That all this self-inflicted pain leads to nothing...
Nothing but ruin, inside and out?

I know we should try to breathe
the air of happiness...

As these souls could use a cleansing
of enrichment and success
to rid this attack of failure
on our torn up bones of fatal structure.

But prayers don't reach Him,
and if they did he'd cast us aside
as victims of life...

Because the damned don't enter Heaven
and the wicked are to be stoned.
My spirit is engulfed with misery and in completion...

Unlike yours floating somewhere free...
How can we be angels?
How can I be me?

It is very strange windy weather.  But July has always been windy.  The solar winds are whipping into action plenty for us to be interested in.  Stay in doors at this time during the middle of the day when the solar plasma raining in on you is at a maximum.  This isn't good for you at present.  Stick with dawn and sunset as safe viewing times to be any where near the sun.  It has been said this stuff can change your very DNA.  I am not in a position to risk that at my age.  I am flawed enough already,  I say that humorously!

Suellen Fraser (my sister) has passed away

by J. R. R. Tolkien

In western lands beneath the Sun
The flowers may rise
The trees may bud, the waters run,
The merry finches sing.
Or there maybe 'tis cloudless night,
And swaying branches bear
The Elven-stars as jewels white
Amid their branching hair.
Though here at journey's end I lie
In darkness buried deep,
Beyond all towers strong and high,
Beyond all mountains steep,
Above all shadows rides the Sun
And Stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
Nor bid the Stars farewell.

This has been a very sad and emotional day.  I am emotionally empty once again as I deal with the sadness's one on top of another.  Texsy isn't alone in the heavens now, she has my little sister to keep her company.  Today marks a day of sadness as we all look at our own mortality brought on by the loss of our youngest sister Suellen Mary.  She passed away at 2am this morning on the 26th April 2012. She was 49 years old.  She was never a healthy girl after she was given Chemotherapy for a disease we all share in my immediate family - Bronchiectasis.  Warwick obviously did not have very bright doctors at the time.  She had not given birth and this treatment prevented this from ever happening.

I am pretty numb in my spirit at this time .  There is now no time left to bond with a sister who I knew only a little of but when I first met her she was still at school and she had gotten a Persian kitten called Sharee.  She was very kind to me and I got along well with her but alas the sadness of losing my mother never faded as I found it increasingly hard to ever go back to Warwick.

I am at a loss and so I will play some good songs tomorrow for Suey in our radio show. Music rises to the heavens and returns back the beautiful vibrations to rain down upon us all here on Earth.  This is why we should sing.   Sound causes what we would call miracles to occur.
