Joining the Union in Bellingen 2012

I just came back from wandering. Taking long walks or going on long journeys don't seem to make an iota of difference.

View from Lodge 241, Bellingen

Was I ever a mother? Being caught inside of this senselessness, it seems so much like a frightening movie
. The soundtrack isn't well written either. If only I could be somewhere else because I only exist inside of this loneliness of missing the people I loved the most ever! I grieve the loss of my children I grew inside of me and nursed at my breast for so long, and I am told "Dont Cry"! Why? Why is it so abnormal to cry for the ones you love and for what you grieve for and to endure a pain of loss so immense, it's all consuming and it scares me to death.

People will hate you, rate you, shake you or break you!

But how strong you stand is what makes you.

SAM 8101 Literary Shield

Yes they will and for what purpose does this serve. This is my quandary I face daily.  An insatiable quest to find the reason for existence amongst ourselves and our various cultures and the common thread running a marathon through us all.   This is for no selfish reason but to just try to understand why and how humanity got to be so dumb and so blind to reality.

So it is the first of July today.  It is the funny month named after Julius Caesar.  Honoring a man who changed our entire history to suit the purposes of one lot of people only.  I have to say that even though I can clearly see through this, they were very successful in the carrying out of this fiendish systematic control of the people of the entire world.  I was taught that if you can control just 25% you have control over the others by default.  Interesting as this is what is happening to us and they employ many tactics to do this

IMG 1480.CR2 Over the fence
We are all in this together and we are peering through the fence and seeing the blatant injustices.

Today is a new month and with this comes the beginning of the new financial year and the instigation of the very ugly Carbon Tax here in Australia.  It is not being accepted very well.  I think this will be the downfall of Julia but I also think the other side have got zero idea on this one as well.  It all seems very much a mess in politics and now they have all gone on a break!  Give me a break instead.  The situation has now spiraled out of control and people are joining together on the many fronts and showing their strength in numbers alone.  We will not be taken as such fools so freely.

You add this to the outrage being felt across the Northern Territory with the Stronger Futures Policy and the people dying in the water just north of Australia in boats sinking and it is very messy indeed.  Back home on the ground here people are assembling in great numbers against the government and are ready to protest and do what it takes to get the message heard around the world where Coal Seam Gas Mining is concerned.

We have to stand by and witness the blatant use of our natural resources and we are punished as nation for turning on our lights or keeping our elderly warm and comfortable with out the fear of freezing to death .  I am ashamed!  I am also ashamed of our people to a degree that they swallow this rhetoric without question and they do not have a heart for the people of this land.  The aboriginal situation is appalling.

I feel there is some serious stuff going on and all of this is a smoke screen covering something. What the something is though has not revealed itself to me yet.  I will keep reading between the lines and hopefully I will see this before its too late.

I am going to light fires for the kettle and bugger Julia!

God Hides things by putting them all around us.

Author Unknown ..
Have you ever wanted to bend down to a river or creek and find a gold nugget?  I have wanted to.  In fact every time I am anywhere near water or a river or creek I look very long and hard for my illusive gold nugget.

Me under the living water of  life half way up Dorrigo Mountain
It doesn't hurt to have an attitude of expectancy in your heart.  It shows that you understand the life you are living if you can understand what to expect you should be doing.

I expect we are totally meant to be drinking water that is fresh and pure and clean and beautiful.  Why  do we allow our councils to do this to our water supply!  Adding fluoride and various other contaminants all in the name of good health

In 50 days I will see Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park

50 Days... and counting.

Between today's date and the date I see Uluru for the first time is fifty days in total today. So today we will start our countdown from here On the Hill.

I am like this piece of vegetation hanging off the side of the bridge, because I am so excited.  colloquially speaking I am simply hanging to get there.  I am going to take the most amazing photographs of my entire lifetime perhaps.  I will try to cram in as much practice as possible before I leave.

Like water, be gentle and strong. Be gentle enough to follow the natural paths of the earth, and strong enough to rise up and reshape the world. — Brenda Peterson

Beautiful Drops.

I guess its a bit like that with me.  I am constantly checking the depth of trouble I am in.  What is new?  I am very outspoken at times and should realize that I have a gift to be able to do this now uninhibited by anyone.  Not a boss or a colleague or even my children.

My partner supports most things I do as long as he is fully briefed on the issue.  I guess what I need to do for myself is get my teeth into something, but not before I go on my trip to Uluru.  I am still hoping that I can go with Sue and Uncle Tom, they did promise.  I would feel honoured.

The flood waters once again are residing and I am fairly sure I will be able to broadcast my radio show tomorrow.

And on this day many lessons were learned and bridges were burned to the ground

Metaphorically speaking because not much is actually burning around here.  At the moment  this Australia Day finds the place totally inundated and experiencing some fairly serious flooding.

It has been raining for over a week now and the area has a maximum capacity and at the moment we are actually teetering on a real disaster occurring if the rain continues.  The water table is at maximum because of continual steady rain now for a good while.  We wait to see how much the rain falls.

Tears from  heaven.... to take care of you.. for the ones who have loved and lost.

MODERATE FLOOD WARNING FOR THE BELLINGER RIVER

Issued at 10:36 am EDT on Thursday 26 January 2012
Flood Warning Number: 22
Up to 550 mm has fallen over the Bellinger catchment in the last 4 days. However the rainfall intensity has increased during the last 3 hours with up to 80 mm falling during this period. This has resulted in renewed rises in the Bellinger River.
There is currently moderate flooding at Thora. Bellingen is expected to reach moderate flood level (6.7 metres) around 12 pm.
Further rainfall is predicted for the next 12-24 hours, which could produce further river rises. The situation is being closely monitored and revised predictions issued if necessary.

Things are getting so much better when everyone is in. Are you in? mello bello part 1

Tom & Myles 8Image by PhotoDu.de via Flickr

A lovely little documentary except for the various misconceptions.  Some of the place names are incorrect.  The information of the area depicts only white civilization.

Not a mention of the indigenous people in the area.  No mention of the hideous murders that took place here when this place was settled by white man.  No mention of the many people who have gone missing never to be seen or heard of again in the more recent years post commune living.

Urunga on the coast mentioned in this documentary  is the place of the Long White Sands and it is a place of indigenous abundance of food and shelter.  Yes, Tom Myles did come here and the  town of Mylestom was built not MYLESTROM as was said in the documentary.  Other wise Tom Myles would have been TROM MYLES.  More research on the subject required here I think.

Did I hear a mention of The mountain in the back ground known as Nungalli that is of special significance to the dreaming.  It is a warrior laying down sleeping.  Cast into the mountain by the tribe because he screwed up big time.

Looking down Hyde Street from the western end of the main street.

Yes, It is an easy going place now however the LAST aboriginal massacre took place on the north side of the river in the vicinity of where the Life House church is now.  The place has an invisible curse that cannot be seen by the uninitiated and the smoking of the place is a constant necessity to keep the peace with the spiritual caretakers.

Yes, it is a small town and unlike what was portrayed on the video team sports do figure big in Bellingen and many great athletes have come from the town of Bellingen. and as the local Bellingen FC has the biggest junior club in the on the north coast so then I would say it figures very big.

It is a myth spread for years now that Bellingen is some kind of Utopia of mind, body and spirit.  This was a dream thought up through the haze of smoke from someones bamboo billie in the early 1970's when it really was a sleepy dreamy little place with a climate perfect for building a self sufficient lifestyle without too much hassle due to adequate rainfall and timber.  Things have changed a terrible lot since then.  I stand now on the outside of the bubble that surrounds the town of Bellingen.  There are a lot of us who feel and even see this manifestation.   When you come out from underneath it the world becomes a brighter more precious place as you once again touch reality.

The place is in a hole - look up the word valley in the dictionary, one of its meanings is hole.

SIMPLY RED - SIS

RED
"Middle Age is that perplexing time of life
when we hear two voices calling us.
One saying, Why not? and the other, Why bother?"

Sidney J Harris

The future retiring age in Australia will rise to 67 years.  There are some who are not completely suited to this model of sheep herding by the government.  It may get worse yet before it gets better.
Real countries don't put their elderly in holding paddocks (nursing homes)  to die like we do.  It is a sad reflection of our society and its present values regarding the elders.
