Lenticular clouds

Lenticular clouds (Altocumulus lenticularis) are stationary lens-shaped clouds that form in the troposphere, normally in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction.

Known as Altocumulus Standing Lenticular (ACSL) or Altocumulus Standing Lenticularis clouds, they are associated with waves in the atmosphere that develop when relatively stable, fast moving air is forced up and over a topographic barrier that is oriented more or less perpendicular to the direction from which the upper-level wind is blowing.

This deflection creates a gravity wave downwind of the topographic barrier not unlike a wave you might generate by throwing a pebble into a pond. When sufficient moisture is present above mountain-top level, ACSL clouds develop within the crest of these mountain waves where the air is rising.Source : NOAA

Which Jung Archetype Best Describes You?

Take the Quiz HERE
Deutsch: Carl Gustav Jung
Deutsch: Carl Gustav Jung (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
I participated in the questionnaire and it was no surprize to me to find that my archetype is the Sage.  I am said to be wise beyond my years and isn't this clever that this is a card that comes up for me in the Tarot also in the form of the King.
Kings: Keyword - KnowledgeMany explanations actually start with the King because the King starts things off. This person is a motivator, an instigator of new projects. Planning, organizing, moving things forward, the King is the person to consult. When interpreting tarot cards of the minor arcana, a king’s knowledge is power, so use this person’s advice to your advantage.
I am the sage! According to Carl Jung, the sage represents wisdom and the search for truth. You are wise beyond your years, patient and a deep thinker.
You're driven by a thirst for knowledge. One of your greatest fears is being ignorant, misled, or duped.
You're incredibly intelligent but you risk over analyzing until you're incapable of actually making a decision.
You're an old soul and wise beyond your years, but Jung would tell you don't get lost in the clouds!

I was asked to choose one of the Seven Wonders of the World of which only the Great Pyramid of Giza survives today.  I chose the Hanging gardens of Babylon which were destroyed by an earthquake.

Seven Modern Wonders of the World  The ‘new’ seven wonders were selected in 2007 by internet and phone from countries around the globe.

“Though outwardly a gloomy shroud, The inner half of every cloud Is bright and shining: I therefore turn my clouds about And always wear them inside out To show the lining.”

Ellen Thorneycroft Fowler

The day began bathed in brilliant sunshine...

(Mrs. A.L. Felkin) Quotes Source: Wisdom of Folly.

Today on the hill the weather is really perplexing. Not sure if it will be so hot or pour rain. Storms all around us each day.

I suspect it is a fine day if your in love. Valentines Day is good for that. I have this beautiful heart that was given to me at the beach. So I guess every day is valentines day for me. We look for these beautiful things in nature. When we find them I carry on as though I have found a diamond or something equally precious.

When things go wrong. Look for the opportunity in that moment to change something to fix it up again. If it is in your power to do so then do so. All crisis brings change. Change is not to be feared but to be welcomed as the changeable seasons and the changeable days.

We cannot have sunny days everyday and therefore the lesson in nature for us is that sometimes things are not so bright. Wait patiently as this will pass just like the clouds do. The sun will come out on your situation once more.

Know when you have a good thing. Know that your freedom of choice is a possession that is priceless.
