The Living Wage

I was recently introduced to this idea of a "Living Wage".  I wanted to find out more about this because it seemingly would solve so much of our problems of the toxicity of our cities that we face.
An estimated 2.5 million people, or 13.9 per cent, live below the internationally accepted poverty line.

The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) report also found 603,000, or 17.7 per cent, of all children are living in poverty.

The social problem is particularly stark in NSW, which has the highest proportion of people facing hardship with some 868,373 people living below the poverty line.
