It is also grossly unfair to deny the people their right to show the party how they feel via the ballot box. To slink out the back door only highlights the corruption and the rule changing that goes on in public office.
The former Lord Mayor of Newcastle, Mr McCloy’s resignation came as Mr Baird was saying that this government was not going to be contesting the two central coast seats which were vacated last week by the departure of Tim Owen and Andrew Cornwell through ICAC revelations. at by-elections are expected to be held in approximately three to five weeks.
