National Sorry Day in Redfern

National Sorry Day is an annual day of commemoration and remembrance of all of the families who have been destroyed through thoughtless genocidal government polices which have resulted in inter-generational trauma from what is widely known as the Stolen Generation.

Because throughout the 1900's there was a government plan to breed out aboriginality of the original peoples of this beautiful land called Australia much intergenerational trauma is still being lived through today.  Tyndale had a scale that resembled breeding animals and that is just horrendous memories to be held in the cellular memories of all of the people effected.

Today the figures for FACS (DoCs) Family and Community Services are up by 89% and there are up to a 1000 children being taken and never seen again.  The new policy that if a child under 2 years old is in foster care for longer than 6 months it is instant adoption.

This is an horrendous policy.  To be amongst the mothers and grandmothers effected by these brutal genocidal policies was heart breaking knowing what it feels like to not see your children and to be lied about because of being a government child and being considered inferior.
