Simply Red ... dix

RED

Technically speaking this isn't Red, not in the sense of the artists palette.  But in natures palette, this is a red dawn.  The sky goes from a dappled pale light just  a little before dawn,  then, as the sun is nearing the horizon, but just before it shows, the entire sky goes red.  A brilliant colour red happens for a few seconds and it is spectacular.

You have to be dedicated to get up at dawn for shots like this.  Not that this shot is the greatest.  I don't think it is photographic, it really isn't.  I personally think it is a fairly ordinary shot.  But its what is in this shot that is unique perhaps.   There is "something" in the sky above the dawning sun.  I have read recently of a peculiar thing happening at dawn.  I have read that it is as if there are two suns appearing in the sky at once.  This is why we were where we were this particular morning and I was not disappointed.
Any suggestions or like pictures out there recently.
