Australian State Borders are now Closed!. COVID-19 Lockdown 2020

IMG 3117It was written in the stars, the planets have positioned themselves in a malefic way and a world collapse is looking imminent now across the entire planet.

This all started in the Wuhan Province in China.  All ports into Australia should have been closed down immediately (shipping and air) at the end of January when we first got wind how big a problem this could become. The federal government were slow to respond in an efficient manner.  They took a male view of she'll be right mate instead of a female pro-active nurturing immediate shut shop manner and now all Australians are in enforced lock down in our homes and we are paying the price.

Yesterday all of the States agreed to let the children go home although the Prime Minister kept saying that schools should remain open.  The top brass medically speaking (Chief Medical Officer) keep repeating this weird palaver about children not being an issue when it comes to Covid-19.  That response hasn't gone down well with the mums and dads and general public or with the teachers.  A large number of parents refused to send their children and instead just kept them home from school anyway.  Queensland Teachers threatened strike action.  In all honesty teachers were being sacrificed on the alter of capitalism.

I don't have school age children anymore now they've all grown are in a state lock down in Queensland now.  If I did have school age kiddies, they wouldn't have gotten out the door all February.  We were aware the government were asleep at the wheel again.  My children definitely would not have gone to school.

No toilet paper, Tenterfield Coles

Within days of people seeing the panic in China and before it was announced as a Global Pandemic, the rush on the Supermarkets for Toilet Paper began and in the weeks since the shelves have been stripped bare of various necessities and Toilet Paper got difficult to procure on the normal shopping trip.  People were hoarding the paper products first and then baby wipes and hand sanitizing gel and finally the foolish out there worked out that you cant eat these things and the food hoarding began.  Meat was continually sold out in supermarkets and Butchers have reported being swamped everywhere.

When I shop I shop for two months ahead anyway, so this hoarding and lack of product hasn't effected me at all so far.  I hope the milk continues to get through because it would be a shame to see milk thrown out because the cows still have to be milked.  The only  way this will happen is if fuel supplies dry up and the trucks can't move about to the factories and distribution points for delivery.

In Australia there is a shortage of face masks so its necessary to make these by either sewing from material or making from paper towel.  Using some of the hoarded paper towel seems like a useful thing to do with some of it.  So I got about and made one of the paper towel versions and it worked a treat and was very snug fitting and looked like it would help if I had to use one for any reason or if I was ordered by government to place one on at all times, and anything is possible with these clowns who make the rules up as they go along so the Corona Pandemic response is not a new way of doing things for them, they always make it up as they go along.

Covid-19 precautionary Mask

The Federal Government have announced a $66B Stimulus Package and our household should be getting $1500.00 into the coffers to spend to keep the economy afloat.  We maybe able to get a satellite dish and box and finally get television so we can see us all going to hell in a hand basket right there in our own lounge room while we sit here in 'Selation'.

Workers have lost jobs in droves all over the country and government announced they would double the Centrelink New Start Payments. People lined up for kilometers to get inside a Centrelink office and thousands of people accessed the MyGov website.  It couldn't cope with the traffic and the website crashed.  Things are not going smoothly as we all stay home and its not a great indication of things to come is it?

'Selation' is a new word for 2020.. its a combination of Self and Isolation ( self-isolation) which everyone has to do if they come in contact with some one who has been overseas or has tested positive for Covid-19.  The exposed have to do this Selation for a minimum of 14 days.  The rest of the country who are not self isolating are practising what has been called 'Social Distancing'.  This practice involves staying 1.5m from the next person at all times as a minimum.  People are expected to only go out for urgent requirements.  The further the better, just stay home.  My  partner Brice came up with the new word Selation after listening to the girl reading the news continually getting tongue tied trying to get her mouth around these two words continually.  Great adaptation there from the Brice Man.

Because people couldn't stay home and everyone in Sydney went to Bondi Beach, the states got serious and shut their borders and if you go over the border you have to self isolate for 14 days, there take that Sydney.  Typical Australian's, no one seems to listen.  People not self isolating when they are supposed to is another serious issue.  Why are people so badly behaved?

On surviving the pandemic crisis if there is a food shortage down the track then we have egg laying chickens and a vegetable garden.   the garden could be enlarged and has been slightly already in the last week and even though we have this, its not enough to survive on.  People are talking 6 months things could be like this.  By then we will at least have more stuff growing but its through winter and not much likes to grow here during the cold months.  That could be a cause for some concern.

They are making a vaccination and I read it would be mandatory, well I don't want to partake and I conscientiously object thank you very much.  We both have great immune systems having not been sick with a flu for over 12 years.

My son is working from home in his job.  My daughters are in industries that have been considered essential services, both working for Woolworths and Coles  Supermarkets. (unless their shop is closed down)  I'm hoping they are all being kept safe by the invisible bubble of protection I have placed around all three of them.  Included inside the protection of this Magic Mumma Bubble is little Luca whose big first birthday is not far off on the 4th of April, Richard, Matilda's partner and Braden, Montana's partner.  I send them all love and a spirit of strength, protection and insight.  I hope that people are prepared and not scared.

At the time of writing this blog eight (8) people have passed away in Australia from Covid-19.
