The Pretty in Pink film soundtrack album was released in 1986 for the John Hughes Pretty in Pink, a now classic coming-of-age film about teenage love and social cliques in a 1980s American high school.
The title song by the Psychedelic Furs was the actual inspiration for the film and was re-recorded for this soundtrack; it had been released in 1981 for the album Talk Talk Talk.
